Convenience Store Shooting

There was a robbery and shooting at the convenience store near where my mom lives. She goes there regularly, and when I still lived with her, so did I. Two masked men entered the store and robbed it, and shot both the cashier and the man who helped out in back. The cashier is dead; the other employee survived but is in the hospital. The thieves are currently at large. My mother is very upset because we've been customers at this store for a long time and are on good terms with the very nice Middle Eastern family who runs it (I believe the cashier was related to the owner). I'm hoping against hope that the sheriff's office finds the two guys who did this.

That's horrible, I hope the thieves get caught and I hope that guy gets better.

I hope so, too! The surviving employee is in critical condition, or he was as of yesterday. I'm hoping he'll pull through.

Unpleasant is an understatement. To think that such a nice guy got shot over, what, a few hundred bucks in a cash register, horrifies and saddens me. But thank you.
