Another blog on recent events about this site!

First thing first. Pleasing everyone is hard!

It doesn't really matter what we do, there are no real way to please everyone. For some, this place work just right for them, don't want to change a thing, for other, it just isn't what they are looking for. Now, why is that? I think this should show you a thing or two.

If you have been here long enough, you should know that preferences really have a rating attached to it. Just because you like something, doesn't make you a better person. It make us different (or something else ).

Let's take some time to narrowing it down a little more though. I notices a few people have feeling toward some more then just vore. And of course, a lot of people here like more things then just vore. Often time they have to decides. Am I more of this, or more of that, that, or what have you... For a lot of them, vore is just a tiny part of their interests.

And there are a lot of other sites out there! If you are an artist, there are a lot of other sites to pick. And some of them are doing a lot better then a tiny site like us can. Seriously, can anyone blame them? They are the one doing all the work, and get the short end of their stick when it come to looking for what they want. Do we seriously expect them to uploads the same thing to the many many places over and over?

For some people who think there are nothing I can do. I disagree with them on a techincal standpoint. There are lots of idea out there that will help us. However, we are, again, pretty small. And we only have one real coder. I seriously don't think there are enough praise for all that she have done for us.

Anyway, to sum it up. I am taking this opportunity to put things in perceptive, for everyone of us. First, do not judge too quickly. Even if things might seem a little rough lately. I still think they are more like an illusion. Secondly, there are always things we can all do to help. And perhaps some of us with special set of skill can help more then other. With a little more help, we will make great things together. We always did, and we will do it again.

I agree, it' impossible to please everyone. I also like the concept this site has -it allows a huge variation, which is a great source of inspiration, and that artists don't need to be perfect encourage them to post their art. :-D
Look - I can yum, slurp and drool! I can even yum and slurp without drool! And drool without yumming and slurping too! I'm a very talented predator, you see..

Haha don't sweat it Eka. The site's going great. Some of the topics going around lately about why people don't like the site are mostly just a place to vent. If the topic of thread is "why don't you like Eka's Portal," the only way to stay on topic is to post the bad, not the good. This place is very nice and you guys have worked hard to keep it that way.

I didn't know you guys only have one coder. I can do some work as well, I have a little bit of skill at least with PHP. I wrote my own simple site with it a while back at http://unavail.net. The certificate seems to have expired but I made a members/registration page from scratch. I don't know if I could help out any here, as it seems like this site is made from tons of third-party PHP scripts spliced together. But I'll still help out any way I can if you guys need it.

I made a Guild in WOW with the soul intention of Raiding but people in the guild decided to make something else. I let them do it and as such the guild was more like a massive debate and nothing got done – thus it failed and I left.

So cutting a small text wall short I found pleasing everyone is virtually impossible

I have been on this site for a while now – 4-5 years as both Lurker and Registered. People have their complaints about it and I would be lying to say I didn’t have mine but I do believe this is the best Vore/Fetish site I have been to bar none.

Other sites have freedom to post what you want and they are filled with Adbots and whinging children what could not go for 1 day without a Rant or argument with someone else.

So overall you are only human and you are doing a good job. Keep up the good work :D

Yo, Eka, major kudos for what you've done so far. I prefer the diversity of Eka's Portal over furaffinity, you have a lot of HUMAN themes here and I'm not at all into furry/animal erotica (disclaimer: I'm not bashing those who are into it).

You know what's so great about Eka's, aside from its diversity? You've kept this place almost perfectly troll-free. Considering its size, that's a tough row to hoe.

You've done an absolutely fabulous job with this portal, Eka. I cannot possibly thank you enough for this place and what it has done to unleash my creativity.

Don't make me run a petition to flood you with "Thank you, Eka!" letters from people who want you to know you're appreciated, lol (j/k!)
Experiment: Will a grenade kill a giant naga by exploding in its belly?
Test #1: Inconclusive. Grenade exploded in naga''s mouth.
Test #2: Inconclusive. Grenade exploded in naga's throat.
Further tests delayed until another live specimen can be acquired.
