Ramblings

Been working too hard lately; Decided to take a break and poke GameMaker again, after seeing so many people making little projects with it. It's still kinda fun, and with the appropriate setup it can do some cool things, provided the game you are making falls within the constraints of a sprite/pixel system with light 3D ability.

For those of you that remember the first time I posted a vore game in GM, kudos. this new one though is entirely my idea, though all platformers have been done before so that isn't exactly new. I'll be making the controls star-gladiator style, and kinda mix in some mazer2.swf + barbftr.swf elements into the gameplay.

I'm going to try and do the art myself, though if anyone wants to 'play' or add sprites/characters to the game, I'd be totally jazzed with any submissions. With as bad as my art is, it's hard to make something out of place. XD PLUS! The way I'm designing it, ideally it'll be cake to add new characters (only media and a list of initialization values is needed)

Which, was exactly how the last GM game I made worked. Either way, once I get something that's interesting to look at, I'll jump on the bandwagon of GM projects.

As for real projects, Discrete Space is the largest, and very difficult. You wouldn't believe how much math I've had to derive that no one else HAS, apparently, even though at some point in the 1980's this was done but never published. Imagine 100% discrete position AND orientation AND motion. 100% guarantee able integer only translations, rotations, and that means you can cross-platform and network in discrete time, which means you can rewind and fastforward indefinitely, guaranteeing the exact same results. It's pretty hard to code though, but I have the majority of it ready for use. (Nonlinear system of 23 equations, with 12 unknowns. yay. Suck on that, math students.)

Anyways. Hope to show ya'll this mess soon! Peace out.

Considering the help you've given me, by all means, if you want some sprite input from me just say so. Truthfully I can't guarantee anything for the next couple of weeks, and I would prefer just a little as opposed to a lot, but hey.

Interesting to see I've contributed to (re-)giving you the GM bug.
