In the story "The Many Journeys of Ian Scranton" you recall the death of Hollani, right?
Well, there were also two cities that were destroyed. Countless carnivorous fairy children got massacred. Nameless victims whose fate won't just go away into the historical ether. Karma is going to become a vengeful little cruise missile. So yeah, I lied. Some more high profile characters will die. Including one that I was getting fond of. Ah well.

If I see someone who comes close to resembling her, I will update this blog... 10 Comments Viewed 2041 times A harsh economic lesson, from a business owner's perspectiveI'm staring the true lesson of employee productivity right in the face in our office here now that all the employees have left for the day.
As you know my wife and I run an insurance business; home, auto, commercial, that kinda thing. We have life insurance license and a broker's license too but we like to avoid that if possible, even though annuities, health insurance and all that stuff makes GOBS of profit, it's a dirty, nasty, predatory industry and we hate it; but anyhoot... We're now mining the entire state of California for new P&C policies from personal auto to commercial general liability and everything in between, and we've got service calls way under control. Our staff has gotten more experienced over time and the key issue here is that they have outpaced the ever growing workload. Now the true lesson of employee productivity shows its ugly face. You've got a group of workers that have done all the right things - work hard, work smart, and skill-up, becoming more valuable...
