Just to add a bit more to the thread, T&J was always one of those cartoons that held my interest as a child (and still to this day) because of the various prep and near-vore scenes.

Some favorite episodes by this criteria:

Jerry and the Goldfish (Tom tries to cook a goldfish in a variety of ways, including frying, boiling, and even toasting)

Flirty Birdy (After Tom succeeds in making a Jerry sandwich, a large bird steals it and the two fight over who gets to eat Jerry)

That's My Mommy (A newborn duckling mistakes Tom for his mother. Guess what this leads to. :p)

I never liked T&J much as a kid. Jerry always won at the end of almost every episode, and Tom only one like once or twice. I wanted him to eat Jerry for good and get it over with.

Me too. I think most people felt that way actually, mostly on account of Jerry being such a prick. Half the episodes had Tom on thin ice with either the old lady or the bulldog and Jerry deliberately provoking them.

^ That has to be new. I like the older style animation a whooole lot more. And "off-scene" vore is so boring to me. I like it when they show maws and internals and cut-aways >:)
