Subscribing to a thread?

Hi, I'm trying to figure out how to subscribe to a thread, specifically my commission thread, so that I can make sure I don't miss any posts (I don't check on it too often). Is there a way to do this? Call me crazy but it seems like I've seen somewhere that you can subscribe to posts on here. If you can, can someone please tell me how you do it? I can't figure it out no matter what I try. Also, sorry if this has been asked before

Under "Your Account" (up at the top) > "Account Configuration", go to the "Board Preferences" tab on the top nav and "Edit Posting Defaults" in the left nav, and you can set "Notify me on upon replies by default", if you want to have every thread you post in send you an email.

If you have that default turned off, under the reply text window (where I'm typing right now) there's a check box for "Notify me when a reply is posted."

If you want to subscribe to a topic without posting at all, at the very bottom of the window you'll see options for "Board Index", "Subscribe topic", and "Bookmark topic". You know which one you want.

Make sure your profile has an active, working email address!

I've got a question concerning this - possibly because I'm doing something wrong. I have subscribed to a few threads that I watch (I do not add to them), and get properly notified when they're updated. Works awesome. Very helpful.

The problem I'm having is within the Private Rollplay forum, in the thread I'm active in. I subscribe to the thread so I know when my partner has snuck in and posted an update, but then the 'subscription' goes away. I'm having to remember to click on 'subscribe' after every update I make. Am I doing something wrong? It seems the subscription should stick, yeah? Any advice? Thanks!
