I am going to wait for you to finish this mod before trying and giving my feedback. Since you are most likely going to have to update it to run on 1.8.
I just wanted to make sure that installing this mod is the same as other mods, by opening the source file and putting the mob files in the Minecraft.jar file?
I just want to make sure I do it right before messing with my file coding.

For Modloader mods, you only need to install ModLoader that way. Once that's in your minecraft.jar, you can just go to .minecraft (main Minecraft folder with the exe and all the folders) and have a folder called "mods" (no quotes). Anyway ModLoader mod can be placed into the mods folder and work fine. Depending on the mods you use, you may already have this folder as some mods outside of ModLoader will save files there such as settings of the mod.

Has it been announced when 1.8 is coming out? Last time I made a mod, I had to go through an update phase (bug fixes and tiny updates) and ended up losing a good portion of the mod from trying to constantly update. I did learn to just wait a few days so all the bug fixes happen before updating again though.

Ok, I was just asking cause when I installed the aether mod, I had to put it in the source code directly.

Well, I just took a look at the files and I know why the Aether mod requires that. They edited at least one original file from what I saw. Most single or double letter class files are the originals re-encoded the way they should be. If I were to edit the original wolves like I planned, then my mod would be the same way, which is the reason for the new fox mob.

However, you gave me an idea for helping with the stomach realm and possibly adding achievements. I can use their mod as an example and trial and error my way through. Making new realms and adding achievements isn't in any tutorials, so any little bit of reference helps.

I wouldn't know with the references, you might have to ask those aether guys about that one.

Thanks. I'm having some problems with the screen effects though. I can't find where they are for the original game (water/lava, sleeping, or portal), so I'm not sure how they work exactly. If I can't figure them out by the time I get the fox skins, I may skip ahead to working on the stomach realm.

Good news! The next release of the mod should be soon. I'm just waiting on some art, need to code the new item, and code the fox's behavior and natural spawning. Everything else is set. I still need the fox skin/skins, depending on what the artist wants to do, the item drop (again leaving up to the artist), and something to replace the portal swirling effect with that will resemble being eaten.

This release of the mod will include natural foxes that spawn Mika if killed by fire and Mika will capture you, swirly effects to resemble being eaten, and lastly instant death if she's not killed or knocked away before the effect finishes.

Next release will include the beginning of the stomach realm. Seeing as how I can use Mika's code to work as a portal as well, the only real hard part of it is getting the realm to generate much like the Nether does. I've done mobs and items already, so adding the blocks and fluids may also be difficult. This version will take much longer and will have more releases for bug testing.

I may be able to do that, but it would require a new item or it can't be Modloader compatible as it would mean editing the original player class to make it work. If I were to make it for the player to vore/UB, it would probably just be a sound effect and instant death of the enemy (with no drops if possible since they would be in your stomach/womb and digested as well). I don't know how to change the model in-game to show a blocky belly.

You guys let me know which one you want me to try first. Should I focus on the stomach realm next or make it possible for the player to vore/UB? If it's the player one, should I make it like a storage where you can call the mob out again or just make it a simple kill and move on sort of thing? A player stomach/womb would likely be more like a chest for mobs is how I think I'd try to make it work. I'm not really sure how'd I make it work, but I'm only going to focus on one at a time.

I'll give you guys until I finish the current mod (at least a week just to give you time) to decide which you want first. I'll still do both if both are wanted, but only one at a time.

1. Yes.

2 and 3. Yes, if one is not the other. If it is a normal spawn, let it be non hostile. If it is not a normal spawn, i.e. possibly made through a craft, make it hostile.

4. If you really want to do it, I'm sure everyone here would approve, along with myself.

Also, I second the stomach realm as well.

I vote stomach realm first, because making yourself a pred would probably take a lot of coding.

I just wanna say.....never mix unbirth and death together....some may be into it.....but in my experience....unbirth has nothing to do with death...nor malicous intent for that matter

you wanna be careful with alternate vore types and attaching a result to it without checking first if it would be suitable

but yeah I agree with the others....do the stomach realm first.....the code basis I'm sure would be easier....you can probably lift it from the Aether mod or something since they already made a realm

Now, With the Stomach Realm, Do you plan to add it's own personal mobs? Cause a perfect one I could think of would be something similar to the Blue slime in the Aether. It's a little blue slime that when you get close to it, it hops towards you and tries to engulf you. If you Right click it, you tame it and can get inside of it and bounce around, using it to get to new heights. Now a good modification to that would be instead of blue, It should be the same color as the "Acid"(Water), and you not being able to tame it. But once if it engulfs you. It could do one of two things.
First, do damage to you while you are inside of it, I'd say one half heart per second. That gives you 20 second if you are at full heath to kill it and escape.
Second, Have it try and hop to the nearest pool of acid to get you digested, The Acid water damage will stack with the Slime/Enzymes Digestion damage.

Now if you want you could make two different colored ones, One being the Acid color and being bad, And one being green, which could be good and make you immune to the Acid/Water while you are inside of it.

These are just some ideas to throw around. Also, will the Stomach realm have it's own craft-able items, Nothing too big, But something allowing you to dig in the stomach easier, Or will all the stomach blocks function as bedrock.

First off, I didn't mean to apply that UB would mean death. I don't really like that happening either. UB would be more of a storage. I may make a mob that can be tamed and move the player around in the future. And player UB would be the mob storage idea. As far as coding goes, the mob still dies though and you use an item to bring it back out.

For the stomach realm, it would likely be more like the Nether than Aether. A few new blocks that aren't hard to destroy. Netherrack and Lightstone both break easily to stone picks and soulsand is no tougher than normal sand. I already planned for some stomach only mobs. They would be immune to the acid much like Nether mobs are immune to fire/lava. As for behaviors of those mobs, I haven't really decided yet. I'm still trying to finish the non-stomach realm version, so I haven't thought about what the stomach realm would be like yet.

Because of 1.8 coming out soon (possibly next week), I'm going to postpone the mod until after that. This way I'm sure I don't lose anything in the update. So it'll be a little while before I release the screen effect vore version. The update will come out, period of bug fixes, then MCP (modding program) will be updated and I'll continue working.

There is good news to this however. It will give any artist that wants to do the art for me time to submit art. Currently, I need a fox skin (or skins if taming is wanted), an item for the fox and Mika to drop (just let me know what you want the item to do. If used as a tool, I'll need images for those too), and the screen that's shown when eaten (will act like the screen effect when sitting in a portal). Someone said they would help me, but I haven't heard from them in a while and the art is really all I need to finish. If anyone else wants to take a shot at making the art for me, I'll gladly accept the help.

I'll let you all know when I finish the mod and begin working on the stomach realm. It might take a week or two, depending on the bug fix period, but I'll continue working on it as soon as I can after the update. Since it's practically finished, it won't take me long once I'm able to work on it after 1.8.
