The download link only gives me a .Rar file, and does not allow me to play. I am unsure if this is my computer bugging out, the link bugging out or if I'm lacking something important. Help would be appreciated.

You need to unpack the .Rar. Thats the way 99% of all these games work. You unpack it, and in it is the game.

For the thousand time, is not coming a second episode, the creator leave a half the game is mean is dead, so not necrolice the argument please.
If you want you can create the second episode, but ask to the original creator if you can continue.

The game is already out. Its only chapter 1. And is less than an hour long. Is pretty good though. One of the best. You can be pred or prey.
HOWEVER, this game is FINISHED and DONE. Prepare for the flak of other users.

If you want you can create the second episode, but [ask to the original creator] if you can continue.
Arguement. Creator cannot respond if creator is not here.
Therefore, permission cannot be given.
Resulting in Episode 2... never coming.

Counter argument. Creator can't respond if he isn't here.
Therefore they're never coming back.
Resulting in the game being open and free to grab, if they just abandoned it.
Thus whom ever so think they worth shall take they game and add to it so that a story can continue.

@Slayer,
First, abandonment is not the same thing as open permission to modify a game.
Second, without the source files it is difficult to continue the work.
Third, most people capable of creating games would prefer to work on their own projects, in no small part due to the exceptional time requirement.
Case in point, this project was first posted in 2008, the creator's last post on the forum was in 2013, and no one has shown any real interest in continuing this project.
Although the assertion that the game has some potential to continue may not be entirely wrong, I think it would be safe to describe it as virtually wrong. That is to say, suggesting that the game will be continued in the foreseeable future is almost certainly false and misleading.
Provided you did not mean to imply that you are actively working on this project.

Point made.
However Mods are known to enforce the "Permission Required" law. Sometimes zealously.
So to settle this, we need a mod's intervention to give a verdict.

that's some seriously flawed logic. Just make your own game, don't damage people's intellectual property because he can't defend it at the time.

Re: Vore Night - A SNES style Vore RPG
the pronblem is that no one has herd from the maker in some time, now I don't wish to draw any warth from people but couldn't someone make an episode 2 without out changing anything in the orignal, and then if the maker should appear could they not then collaborate on it cause at the moment only the original creator even knows what the end goal for this game even is...I'm guessing it's topple the goverment, take over the world or save it,the usal stuff
Darkness entwines a foolish young heart but the brave will always ring true.......yeah right ;p

Unless someone ask the original creator if they can work on it again. (or they know how to copy files/work it them self) no. in short.

I can agree to that.
@ others: Ok...ok...some people are a bit to uptight about this situation. Let's switch gears here, how about someone uses the concepts of this game to make a similar game, that's it's own thing. That way it's a new game, but still has stuff that was liked in this game.

Re: Vore Night - A SNES style Vore RPG
does an abandoned vore game count like abandon ware? I mean if the dev/creator of something no longer cares about it or is no longer around can it truely be considered something to let die especially if it was a good thing?
take the original vrpg from a long time ago, the dev up that jsut dropped off the earth and yet many of the comunity has revived it more then once, as it was a lost dev thing.
eh I think any dev here should put a disclaimer on the bottom of their origin post, stating that if the game is abandoned or they vanish the community can or can not continue work on it. cause this dev vanishes half way though a good game crap is getting annoying... hell me and mepthisto almost pulled it as we almost lost the files for CC and the other one (actually lost files for that one). hmm I will make a topic on this stuff.

Your guess is as good as ours warbrand14. In fact, your opinions carry more weight since you are a dev yourself. I do think it warrants a topic or discussion. Vore Night deserves a shot even if it doesn't succeed.

Explicit permission was given to everyone to work on DGVRPG. Duamutef even released the source code.
A major hurtle in continuing a game is getting access to the original files.
