Geena's Trials, Damsel-In-Danger game (LINK IS UP!)

Hey all!

I've been quietly, for the most part at least, working on a (Nude) Damsel-In-Danger game for the past little while. To the detriment of other things I must admit... but, well, the first three areas are just about ready, and that was the point I had decided I would "release" the "demo."

The project has evolved hugely since I started it. Originally it was to be just a bare naked princess dodging hazards for her life. Then I gave her the ability to punch and kick. Before long she could grab sticks and stones to fend off the many monsters intent on her flesh...

After having the game test-played, I realized how very short it was from being anything even remotely playable. Suddenly it began to evolve like a Horny Mutant Pokemon (and here I hate those things, so that's proof of how bad it got)...

The result: Princess Geena is still a nude Princess in Peril, but she can now gain experience, Gain levels, increase her skills, learn spells, and otherwise increase her odds of survival. There is still a lot of things not working quite right or at all, but other than aesthetics and flaws players can exploit, there aren't any severe problems (that I am aware of at least). Many spells can be learned but do nothing (no need for them yet), and the "Learn a special ability" selection does nothing, but for the most part the game is pretty much complete to the end of part 3.

I went and stated I'd have the "demo" ready by this weekend... RL got in the way, so it'll be abit later. However in the meantime I'll at least start this thread, where I'll link to it once it's ready, and I'll post a couple of screenshots...

Now, I cannot stress enough the importance of at least skimming the first pages of the help file, to get the details as to how to play. I also must point out that this game is NOT FOR THE SQUEAMISH. Princess Geena can (and will?) suffer some terribly degrading things if the player leads her to her death. It's not pure soft vore, but rather several kinds of vore and other things.

Also, you are recommended not to play it if there are non-openminded individuals in your vicinity! Likewise for children. The sounds, lame as they are, are still somewhat descriptive, so if you worry you'll wake someone with improper sound effects play it with the volume down or with earphones!

The game takes 2-3 minutes to load on my computer, and I suspect it uses a lot of active memory, though I don't know for sure. It's over 30mb anyway.

OH YEAH! I went and asked them beforehand, then forgot! I was in too much of a hurry to get it up tonight... but SPECIAL THANKS to Ka-Atis and Shivrod for test-playing the game, making many suggestions (most or maybe half of which I took), and thus allowing the game not to suck even more than it does!!!

three areas are enough for a release. particularly with all that nice "bonus material" you provide with your pictures

yes, the game has evolved a lot since then. but I guess it's always like that. you start out with a "skeleton", then add more and more "flesh" to it subsequently.

The result: Princess Geena is still a nude Princess in Peril, but she can now gain experience, Gain levels, increase her skills, learn spells, and otherwise increase her odds of survival.

and then the next enemies decrease those odds again..

giving a game the right level of difficulty is not easy, since what is hard or impossible for one player may be like an evening stroll for the second player. here a lot of test players comes in handy, to figure out the difficulty level which most people will be happy with.

maybe the game really is hard. or maybe I just happen to suck at this kind of game..

maybe the released version will be easier than the last version I got..?

Yes it'll be free. Like I said though, it'll just be a Demo at this point; three levels of an estimated thirty (A glance at the "world Map" at the beginning will show what I mean).

Don't know if I'll continue it, or perhaps release it in chapters (if I can figure out how to load info from one game to the next)... loading of this one is already on the very long side.

I have at least three (probably better five) more images to draw, and 18-20 to color and imbed still. That'll likely increase the megabytage quite a bit...

Anyway. Another screenshot or two for the moment.

I believe I can safely say tonight. Hopefully in the next 4 hours, but if not, after my Hockey game, so around midnight (my time). For reference, it is (looks) 3:30 PM here.

Just a warning to everybody beforehand though. This is to be a damsel-in-danger game; as such, there would be more than just Vore in a finished product. As it is, the vore types are all over the map (soft, Hard, Bloodsucking) and the dear Princess can suffer other unpleasantness as well. So it won't be just soft vore. Just to pre-warn everyone.

Progress Report: I'm down to coloring the last half dozen images; afterwards I'll have to imbed them and test-play the game one last time. I'm getting there... I'm just lucky my plans for today got changed!
