I've decided upon the playable pokemon, but I thought I would give the potential players a chance to cast their vote. The pokemon I have planned that the player will use throughout the game are umbreon, pikachu, ponyta, and lucario. Umbreon stays because it's my favorite, but I'm wondering about what everybody thinks about the other choices. The choices are not set in stone, so if you have any objection to one or more of those pokemon, then say so, and offer replacement possibilities for the ones you don't agree with.

I like all of the player pokemon except ponyta. I can undrstand reasoning for each, Umbreon becuase you like it. Pikachu since it is the most recognized of the pokemon, lucario because he can be the huminoid player pokemon. I would suggest replacing Ponyta with somthing more like Vulpix or another smaller fire type pokemon to make the vore seem more reasonable in my mind, but as I will say even once you actually have this game finished in the end it is your creative decision that matters not the players, basicaly you can't please all of the people all of the time so just have fun with the idea and the game and go with your instincts on the pokemon picks for player characters.

Well, the main reason actually why I chose the ones I did was because I wanted there to be a good variety of pokemon that the players would use. That way it wouldn't feel like every one of them is pretty much the same thing, but looks a bit different. Thanks for your input though. And you're right, when it comes down to it, it really is up to me, and I definately can't satisfy everyone. But I would still like to see what people think, and so far that's looking like it was a good idea. I haven't gotten one response yet on the sites I've posted this on agreeing with ponyta being in the game.

Well, in terms of Pokemon I'd like to see Floatzel and Mightyena in there. Part of Floatzel's pokedex entry is
"It is know to rescue people and carry off prey", so I've seen it in a totally different light of late. ^^
And Mightyena as a straight-up wolf is always good.
