First thing is that during the attack on your father's castle, you see nothing but generic guards. Maybe having one or two very distinct heroes in the back row, out of reach, but different in appearance would be nice, so you can see them later in the game and be able to think "those mother fuckers.. You know what.. Fuck you in particular! I will put priority on your deaths!" rather than literally everyone being a generic conquest.
Personally, I'd like to see a few more male preds just as something in the realm of possibility. In every town there is one human female pred, plus the succubus chick in the naga camp that keeps moving. I get its not your thing, and I won't push this, just feels very heavily sided with female preds. Playable characters are 50 50, but otherwise preds are exclusively female.. with the exception of a seemingly genderless sea monster, and most assuredly genderless mimics.
Also, as far as your party predding goes, it would be nice to see what specific boosts you can get with a character before committing to eating. I mean, I'd jump on a chance to get extra agility on Heir, but I could not care less to raise his magic attack, so it'd be nice to be able to see the possible buffs before hand so I can prioritize who eats what(or rather, who) for the benefit of minmaxing whor- errr, everyone. Yeah, for the benefit of everyone.
Maybe make some of the characters in your own camp seem a little more interesting? the Ifrit guy was one of the harder(if not the hardest) bosses out there, and he just mopes in the bar being a grouch.
