On another note, does anyone remember that one building in the snow town that had a second floor that you couldn't get to anyone on? I was able to remove the pieces blocking it and get in there, but that won't happen on your copies, fortunately the saves will put you past the thing blocking them so you can do those scenes

EDIT: And on a final note, I might just let people download my copy of the game, once I'm done adding something that is, and possibly only a few people will get that copy...

Does anyone know how to get out of the jail, after the trap? As far as I know, I've exhausted all options, and every option with Rake appears to result in an immediate gameover, presumably due to a bug.

You're not supposed to make it past the guard. Stand next to the guard and ''Talk'' to her. This way you'll snatch the keys and open the cell door... assuming you got as far as getting Rake out of the cell.

Unfortunately, that does not work. Doing anything with Rake (as in, trying to get him out of the cell) results in an immediate game-over. I've seen others mention it in the thread, but no-one seemed to post any known resolution to the issue.

Effectively, I cannot escape the cell.

Oh! Okay then, it might take me a few days since I'm usually busy and doing stuff, and I'll have to go through all 80 saves to see what they were, but I'll see if I can get it done

Great..that really clears things up.. Aside from the mentioned plantgirl you also missed Rake's mother, if you return to her without her son in your party.

No grinding for gold means no way to get the shield pendant or anything else that would buff my defense enough to give me a chance.

PS: Being able to raise RG would be helpful...

When I try to play the game, it says that I need the program to play it, and it then closes, even though I downloaded the RPGVXAce needed to do so. How EXACTLY do I go about using the RPG player to open and play the game itself?

You go to the files you just put on your computer and click the 'game' icon.

and some save files below that.

RPG player?
You mean the RTP (Runtime Package), right?

After downloading and installing the RTP, the game should work without a problem.
The Game.exe (in the game folder) is the file to run the game.
If it doesn't start or work and gives a error message, it would be good to know what this message exactly says.

I just click on the one with the dragon symbol, the game screen pops up, and then another box pops up, with an X inside a red circle, saying "RPGVXAce RTP is required to run this game." I can then only close that second box, which automatically closes the game screen. What am I doing wrong?
