The OVRL mods are borked, whenever I'm attacked, the textboxes disappear.

Okay so i've tried to figure this out on my own for a while but is it possible to change the movements keys to the arrow keys. I'm used to rogue-likes having the arrow keys as the movement and keyboard for hotkeys.

Sorry I've been quiet for so long. New updates are coming along slowly.

Re: Vorelike (formerly VDOS)
I don't think this works for Firefox anymore. I just get a message saying "NS_ERROR_DOM_BAD_URI: Access to restricted URL denied"
EDIT: Ach, nevermind, I got it working. Must have accidentally left a file out when I extracted it.

I always considered the scrunched down player really off-putting, please keep things in the proper aspect ratio, it looks hella betta that way... oh well, nothing a slight change can't fix.

Re: Vorelike (formerly VDOS)
I'll look into changing this. Partly this was done because the game began life (and still is to some extent) a tile-based Roguelike. Though I've been making changes to the underlying game engine so that the characters and monsters won't be tile-restricted in future updates.vintious wrote:I always considered the scrunched down player really off-putting, please keep things in the proper aspect ratio, it looks hella betta that way... oh well, nothing a slight change can't fix.
I'm in the (slow) process of making drastic changes to the underlying game engine, so that is why updates have been taking so long to materialize.

Writing new monsters is a relatively simple process. While I do plan on writing new monsters, people can (and have) done that themselves and released the new files here.Halowinner wrote:no more new monsters?

How do you load the mods? I can get the base game to load, but when I drag the mods to the text box, I get a message saying loading ___ mod, but when I hit ok and try and click to continue it just freezes? I am using firefox btw.

Yet I don't see any monster expect the Demon. What am I doing wrong?
Make sure you go into Defaultitems.txt (in mods), scroll to the bottom and enter the monsters you wish to add in the same format as the ones shown.

World time seems to be broken in the newest version. I'm not sure how to fix it, but it doesn't seem to be bound to the wrong key if i'm reading the KeyAssignment.JS file correctly

Re: Vorelike (formerly VDOS)
trying to find a guide on how to play this in chrome. it just gives me the title then I click through to a black screen that says you are in a dungeon. the controls are listed above the box but when I click it, it says networkerror failed to send on xmlhttprequest.
if the solution was there I couldn't find it in the sea of text
