He's right, there are mice in that field that you can eat. Usually, if you find something that you can eat, Nee will say a little something before you fight it just keep walking around until you find one! The RPGVX random number generator is a little off, but eventually you should get it.

Thanks so much! On that note, I'm back to work on the game, and the next chapter is almost finished. The main storyline is finished, I just want to get the rest of the side content done so that I can have a good release
