It's not needed, to solve this, go to audio>se, search for a file with the name suck (and some japanese letters).wav and rename it for suck.wav only... Some more cautious people may want copy the file and than rename. I supose this scene isn't done yet because subaru doesn't speak a thing and when it's done, she is out of the party...

What if we don't have a suck(japanese).wav at all?

At least for me, there was a copy of this file in audio, in the instant I got the error message... But you can copy and rename a random file, or wait, cause when I go to university I'll post the audio file...

I know you stoped the game, but as you said that eventually you will a game yourself, it looks like in this game the damege in stomach is made through common events, I didn't proprly analized then, but look common events 11-15 and 20, 21...

Once you do both of those take the .zip file the game is located in and unzip it again. It also helps to use a 7zip as it handles Japanese file names better than winrar or winzip. Once you have all the right file names you can switch back to your native region and play the game as normal.

Your problem maybe what was said above, because in this image the file missing is diferent from before... If you don't have the game rar anymore you should download it again... For the extraction, I think using the extractor program + applocale should be enough though. So as said above and if the problem persist I'll send this file as well. Just as a reference, my SE folder has 133 files.

I was suffering from the same problem, and the rename worked. Make sure you're looking in the SE folder in Audio, renaming that file, not the one that's just hanging out in Audio. There are two suck.wmv files.

Here goes the japanese named SE files... Just erase the ".rar", these files + the previous one should be enough.... But, you should look why this is happening, may be a problem in future games... Do you changed the region of the computer? At least in windows 7, even if we download the language pack, we still have to change region to japanese sometimes...

Thanks for those Japanese files. No matter what I do, Install translations for 7-zip, install fonts, install a JP Region, the wave files all become non-JP Named no matter what. I've re-installed windows more than twice now and tried it again and again, it just won't work. Now I can enjoy the game again, but I'm wondering if the developer made any updates as of late. There would have to be a new uploader link for every update, since each ID is unique and whatnot from what I understand.

That's strange, I don't have anymore ideas... In future updates I'll be uping japanese files again, if any... In the wiki page there isan't anything bout a new update though, just a bug report.

As I said before in the thread though, the code and whatnot used in RPG Maker XP is all messy and unorganized. You're welcome to try, my VX Ace port is still up I believe, but it doesn't have any of the resources I think. There is a decompiler or something that can extract all the resources from the program somewhere in this thread, which I used to make the port. The port doesn't have the maid in the second floor for some reason after you die and come back... I think I either left destroy event on, or something went wrong with triggers.

I really don't have the skill or the time to do this myself, but thanks for the vote of confidence. As for the whole destroy event, instead make it so that Mashiro leaves and rejoins the party, that may be how the original maker did the whole digestion/absorption/crush thing in the game. Out of curiosity, will you have the characters use magic to alter the layout of their internal body like the original maker did.

Indeed. I would if I could, but the game when exported is a jumble and a mess, finding everything to translate would be hard.
