OK. Well then there's still the fix I suggested.
Don't allow the belly to grow larger then the capacity for 4 regardless of how many the characters have been eaten.
Or how about just giving all enemys fully unlocked stomachs with the capacity for 4. The stategy kind of hinges on being the first one to eat. With just one two or three enemies devoured you would still be Vulnerable.
