there are legal things involved here, i don't know how it works for NEI but usualy someone has to ask permission from the mod author to be put into a pack.

but there is nothing holding you back from adding it yourselff since the mod is mostly client side only.

The only legal things involved are Minecraft's own EULA stating that mod authors cannot do that.

the modders are entitled to their own work, and we support them even if mojang/microsoft does not.

Bad news happening, I will not be able to afford the server for this month, Im shifting jobs irl and im probebly just gonna get 600 bucks this month, and my rent is 400, so, :X
Food and internet go before minecraft, But hopefully by next month i will get twice as much monies as i normaly get, Wich will be great!
So yeah server wll probebly be down a whole month around the 26th, I will release the map here, And then by next month the server will be up and running again,

I never said they weren't. I did say however that they have no right to restrict who and how people use their mod.

Even if it wasn't against the EULA, it's still a modification to a game they did not make. That makes their code legally the property of Mojang.

for example, music, sprites, animations, mojang/microsoft has no richts to those and the UELA doesn't cover that and further more, some of the materials falls under the fair use act.

so there are legal things involved, and to be honest, even mojang/microsoft doesn't own all the codes, they belong to oracle, maker of java.

Anyway, you should add NEI. If not for the ability to check recipes for blocks then at least for the other quality of life stuff it adds.

Just add it to your self if you want it. I wont add a Client only mod that lowers the amount of FPS, and have horrible frame related bugs, beside the modowner specifically told me not to use it in the pack, So i wont.

Which I find odd. The guy who made NEI said that any modpack can freely add it, and I've never once had any FPS related problems with NEI in any of the packs I've made in the past. And as far as I'm aware, it's not client side only. Or at least it's severely restricted if only clientside.

But if you say so. I'll toss it in and see if it works. What version of forge is the server running so I know which one to get?

So, got on the vanilla server. It's looking nice, but I'd like to know where stuff is going to get built. It's hard to set up shop if you don't know where the people are going to go. Nothing big, but it would be nice to know.

Moved spawn closer to the city, and added more roads, YOu should be able to see where most ppl have built now,
