Then I hope you enjoy your long delayed delve into nomad. That being said as the next update is going to be content orientated I'll simply book it as coming out on the 8th or 9th of october and see how much I get done between now and then.

@xephose:
Glad you like the game, always nice to have another fan. And I'll put that on my big list of possible options for encyclopedia results. Though nothing should be truly an automatic gameplay bonus the idea of it unlocking perks (other than smut related ones) is a good idea.

Just a random thought, can we have a sillymode preference when those come ? Had some weird/stupid ideas, like goblin cumballons and going for a run while half unbirthed/aved...

You might be able to port the save across, if it doesn't work the first time then park your ship in space, save, then delete all files in the save folder except alpha minoris.sav, player.sav, verse.sav....basically just delete alpha minoris II.sav and alpha minoris IIA.sav...then load the save file.

and no, the player as of yet cannot CV things. It's planned, but I can only write so much so fast for this game on my lonesome so it isn't in the game yet.

error.log contents? can't help otherwise.

holy crap. So I might have broken the cave generation algorithm. Fix coming for that. Dunno if it has anything to do with your problem though.

edit:

fix for cave generation algorithm. Hopefully.

Okay, i give up. Can someone explain how to install this game, im an idiot with this sort of thing, and all I see is a bunch of different versions of the game. I tried downloading a few differend ones then running whatever files I could find in the folders but nothing did anything.

also each download prompted my antivirus to say 'Yo, you downloaded somethin' thats gonna to kill you and your family, but it's a'ight, we got yo ass.'

sorry for being a computer newb.

1. download alpha 16C (current version is always the title of the first post)
2. ignore antivirus false positive
3. unzip folder where you feel appropriate
4. click run.bat in the nomad directory
5. be devoured by a ravenous harpy snatch (err, i mean, enjoy)

Ok step 1: If you use the link in the OP, look to the right, there is a column with the dates, look for the latest date for the newest version.
step 2: only download that last version, unpack it into it's own folder
step 3: check if you have Java installed, it is needed to run the game
step 4: start the game via using the .bat

should work just fine
as for the antivirus, mine doesn't find anything, maybe yours just hates fun

Norton is known for giving reputation-based False Positives when you download files that not many people in their community have downloaded yet. I think it'll show a tag of something like "WS.Reputation.1" if you ask for more details, though I don't recall exactly. If it is that, and you're looking at a file from one of the versions of this game, then it's nothing to worry about. You might have to make it restore the file though.

Update: Still no dice! Not working for me! Much sad!

I tried disabling norton (stupid norton) and running the .bat file called "run" in the unzipped folder on my desktop. I get this window :
Spoiler: show
C:\Users\KNoble\Desktop\Nomad alpha 16C\Nomad>java -jar nomad.jar -Dorg.lwjgl.Sys.debug=true
Exception in thread "main" java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: no lwjgl32 in java.library.path

at org.lwjgl.system.libffi.Closure.<clinit>(Closure.java:57)
at vmo.Game.<init>(Game.java:103)
at vmo.Main.main(Main.java:9)

C:\Users\KNoble\Desktop\Nomad alpha 16C\Nomad>pause
Press any key to continue . . .

Then I press the any key and it closes and then nothing happens! I tried waiting for a long while, I tried trying it repeatedly, I used the any key most of the time, but have since tried most of the other keys as well (Which oddly produce the same result.)

So uh, I just realized I never connected the edge transition between zoneN and zoneC. Therefore seen as the saurian village is past zoneC (and rather unfinished), it was inaccessible. It's not you, its me. mea culpa.
