A character design sketch for some new characters that me and JFishSoM created. Alma is a young vampire, and Cilly is the ferret. Cilly used to be a human, but Alma drained her blood, then used her vampiric powers to make Cilly into her familiar in order to save her life.

Edit: Oh, I should note that the background is a photograph.

I would love to introduce my self to her! me being a demon/vampire and reaper...well, anyway...
i think the background is a nice touch on it as well! fall...a beautiful season.

The average human adult has about 5 liters of blood. A person can lose up to one liter and only feel a little light headed. A good nights sleep and plenty of fluids and they would be back to normal.

Assuming that the puncture wound was small enough to stop the bleeding immediately after feeding and no blood was leaked after feeding, a vampire could conceivably drink up to 2 liters in a large adult without killing them, though they would have to seek medical treatment.

Drinking that amount of any fluid at once would actually be a health risk to the drinker, discounting any supernatural healing or anti-drowning powers.

Anyway, Alma hadn't eaten for three weeks when she attacked Cilly, so she was very, very hungry. And she IS a vampire. We'll assume she can drink that much.

And really, who's to say that vampires don't absorb blood from their stomachs extremely quickly? =P
