Just a bizarre idea I had.

Gwendolyn is Irish due to red hair and jittery mannerisms.
Clyde is Scandinavian of some sort. Last name's Jormun, so I had to.
Samantha is English.
Gertrude is of African descent, and probably American-born.
Alexis is French-Canadian or pure French. Haven't decided, but I'm leaning toward French, since Samantha's English and their friendship would be ironic. Oh, and the reason? Her last name's Manquée, meaning "missed" or "missing," depending on syntax.
