AWESOME FILM, I just watched it recently. AAAAAH.

You know my vulture guys, Praxis and von Geier? Yeah, I got inspired to tweak their design a little after I saw pics of The Strangers... Well I mainly changed the hats, see how they used to look like: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/3399936/
Fun fact - at that point they were ... not the type of characters who ... eat. They had much less physical presence than they do now (I think they had the ability to phase through walls too.)
When I did draw them devouring vampires and such... Damn, I think they protested. They were kind of rude, too.

Boy have they changed since. Then again, a vulture-based creature ought to be gross, right? 8D With questionable table manners and diet and all... And yet they try to make an effort to appear prim and proper. Well, appear at least.

They also revel in the fact that they're not stereotypically attractive, and yet they are desired. Heehee.

Then there's balancing on the edge being humanoid and being anthropomorphic animals (or something completely else entirely), as well as challenging gender roles (one of them may be male, one of them may be female, but which one... and what else could explain how they had a child together?)
