CRYPTIC'S
CHOICE
Cryptic
drew a silent breath as he watched the massive stone doors open at
the correct alignment of the waystones, but his heart was racing.
He'd always had a penchant for the unusual, after his namesake. More
than the unusual, really, after a masters in archeology he'd spent
his entire career and more money than he had searching for
something... truly special.
This
was the first time anything actually showed any promise of truth.

Ari
managed to let out one brief but loud scream right before the killer
was able to deliver the final blow.
This
caught the attention of the detectives, who went running in the
direction of the cry of terror.
“NOO!!!”
Mike, Aang, Gloria, Seth, and the rest yelled when they discovered
Ari lying dead in her seat.
“Wha…..what
happened?” Sarada asked, yawning while wearing her pajamas. The
other plane survivors came up, and they all saw Ar

and Gadget did not have a long distance to go to reach the wreckage
of Mila’s helicopter. It was getting tossed around in the waves,
but luckily it was still visible.
“You
keep this baby in the air, I’ll get the body,” Rouge told Gadget,
flying out of her seat and towards the helicopter. The bat girl was
able to avoid being bothered by the constant rain. With the help of a
hammer she busted through the glass and was able to grab the hyena

by fire. “Hard to believe any kind of royalty lived in place with
conditions like these,” Vitani coughed because of some dust.
“I
think Caltrin said this tower used to be where the former king and
queen resided,” Kairel explained.
“There’s
another piece of ripped paper,” Eddy noticed, seeing it lodged in a
crevice in the wall.

any of you have sufficient alibis from since the last time Terzar was

“I

“I

Bernard commented, earning a thankful smile from Ms. Bianca.
“I
really don’t care anymore….” Felicia yawned, “I’m going to

walked to the portal they used to enter the Stitchpunks’ world.

MAKETH MIGHT, PART TWO
“Tell
us about yourself.”
The
Bat took a long drag of his cigarette, his burning red eyes gazing at
them like twin setting suns as he sat within a pastel-cream-colored
hotel lobby. They’d shacked up here for the weekend and had utterly
rented every room out to be safe...The Bat had treated them. He was
rich. He was powerful. He was deadly.
And
yet oddly, when out of his “vigilante” element, he was...sad.
Everything about him seemed sad, mournful and solemn,
