A rather odd 1981 Russian SF movie "Через тернии к звёздам" AKA: "Per Aspera Ad Astra" and badly edited into a US version called "Humanoid Woman". An artificial girl from an alien civilization is found by explorers on a derilect ship. Backtracking leads to a homeworld in eco-collapse. The local corporation plots to maintain control. In the end one of the scientists is mortally wounded and merges with a foamy voratious proto-life, directing it to devoure all. The crews robot attempts to super-vaccuum it up to no avail. I falls to Niya to hault the creature.
