when she was a child she fell out of a boat during a sudden storm, and was nearly eaten by a shark. vernardi saved her by eating her himself and releasing her safely after the storm ended. she convinced her parents to let her keep him and started frequently feeding herself to him whenever she got the chance. she is just in the forestomach which is just saltwater and is in no risk of being digested
