A giantess is sent by the great god Gebeleizis to clean out a nymph infestation. Things go as you would expect when you send in the patron demi-god of hunger and consumption.
I started this story in spring 2011, then didn't touch it again for three years. Good to finally have it done.
Warning: I did not run spell check because holy crap, there are a lot of Greek names/words here.

Loved the mythological overtone to it. Another fine story, and beautiful imagery.

Thanks! I was afraid some Herodotus purist would take issue with some of it, but so far so good.

Liked that story alot, but would have liked to have seen more pleasure for the victims.

Unfortunately, this was one of those stories where I just didn't think having the devoured get pleasure made sense. Otherwise, where would be the deterrent effect?

very interesting story, nicely creative. unfortunately I feel required to give a negative criticism.. The last nymph should be removed from the pit before given leave to run. Nothing bad intended, just a minor gap in narrative that was glaring to me. Keep up the good work!

I took a look through and it does say that Eupraxia set Calanthe "on the edge of the wall overlooking the pit," so she would have been outside of the pit. I'll work for more clarity in the future.
