This actually has a bit of a history behind it. Once, a long time ago, while I was in detention, there was this picture of one of the Trafalgar Square lion statues. I spent half the evening thinking how cool and shiny it looked, with its thick limbs and paws, and I kept thinking I should draw a bigger lion someday.
I also always wanted to do a sphinx of sorts, though with somewhat different... proportions.
So I recently looked up the picture via google and modified/drew over it to produce this. I'm sure people will be put off by the human head, but I had to get this out of my system.

Thanks! Also necroposting because I didn't see this until now.

I think her disproportionately small human head makes it even better! I love your skewed proportion stuff like this!

Thanks! I think it works sometimes...

Sometimes? I'd say almost all the time. I've loved all the pieces that you posted in this style: the orca gals, the sirens, the xeno queens!
