Thanks! I drew/edited all the individual frames in paint tool sai, then put them together using an online gif making service, though I'm currently experimenting with GIMP since I've heard it makes better quality gifs~

uuugh, I can't stand GIMP. I usually use photoshop for my 2d animations but it's such a big pain and I never feel I have the patience for it. Plus PS KILLS the colors so it's absolutely awful for larger images. :c If Toonboom didn't cost $300 then I'd give that a shot :P

Mmmyeah, I'm not a fan of GIMP either, to be honest, but this is my first animation anyway, so I'm not too familiar with the usual programs associated with that. I just feel like it's a shame that I could only make the result look like this when the original frames are much clearer. I'm hoping GIMP will at least fix that.

Well this file size is much smaller than the original in the link, and I'm fairly certain that GIMP will allow you to save them and animate them at their original res, so that's something to look forward to at least :D

Adding little details like that makes animation pretty bearable. This took about 8 hours so I had to keep myself entertained somehow!~ x3
