This had been lodged in my mind for a few months, so I wrote a sort of essay on the this topic to get it out, mostly to educate, inform, share my opinions, and have some discussion. With this off of my mind, maybe now perhaps I can finish writing that story I'm working on unimpeded?
...oh, who am I kidding, work is still a thing.

I'm interested as well. I enjoy discussing controversial topics in a civil manner and I'm hoping this gets some talking since such discussions are often interesting, so long as emotions are kept in check at any rate.
Curious though as to why you both love and hate permavore?

Nice write up on the topic. I hadn't considered non-canon permavore to be a type of permavore, i would have just called it fatal, and while there is a lot of overlap between the topics, there are cases where they aren't the same.

But, pretty much, the only difference between typical fatal scenes and non-canon permavore is whether the prey can play with the predator's character or player in future scenes or not. There's not many around who would deny someone a scene with that prey simply because they devoured them in the past.

Yep that's what I figured. I guess I am not that interested in playing with the same two characters over again, like, "what's the point?" , but I wouldn't deny my partner if they really pushed for it.

Permavore is fine. People just need to not fill up five pages of an f-list search with empty profiles and the picture of the same pred's orifice after gurgling someone up. If that makes sense.

Yeah, it makes sense. There are definitely some pet-peeves in that regard, like clicking someone's profile and finding a list of alts who've all had their avatars replaced with someone's cock or something. I tend to avoid avatar play or mass temp/perma for this reason, along with those players who seem to temp/perma someone new every hour.
I also feel if they're blanking their profile, they should at least just delete the alt outright after a little bit. That's not really possible on Eka's chat, but still totally a thing on F-list.

I never see a good Perma-Pred, but I do feel many can learn from this. I wish I could just help everyone who could be bulled/forced into Perma. And...well, being forced to Perma someone is awkward!!

Good perma-pred as in one who's actually respectful or one who's a good player? I've seen quite of the former, but most of those in that category also don't openly advertise or seek it.
And yeah... needless to say, when my friend finished those scenes and was informed he had perma-vored his prey doing them after the fact, he was not pleased, to say the very least.
