After figuring out the color scheme I decided to see what else I could do. Multiple layers, perspective, even managed a background that wasn’t just a gradient.
As always let me know what you think, any improvements if any that can be made.

Picture wise, you got lost in her dream mist when you finally found her against all odd. Stumbling over rocks and trees, gaining injury after injury. You finally collapse on the ground when Mara glances back, eyes closed, raising a paw to emphasize the sight.
“You see that human? Over those hills, between those rocks, is my domain. . . I knew you were following me, from the very beginning. I wanted to see just how determined you were; if you could have just held on a little longer I would have taken care of you, pampered you.” *she finally opens her eyes, grinning wide at your mangled body, covered in lacerations from shuffling through the thorny rose bushes that line her kingdom. * “But that’s neither here nor there, I can tell you this much: you’re about to take a long~ long~ sleep~. *the zoroark, gently wraps her arms around you, lapping her tongue at your cheek; a soft hum from her throat can be heard as she yawns her jaws wide over your face, whether you blacked out from sheer fatigue or being engulfed inside her throat. . . only you know now.

The original Mara Zoroark was experimented on by Amalgam Goodra, wanting her typing to be changed so other pokemon wouldn’t be afraid of her (dark types are called evil types in japan afterall) however because of her new typing, she was able to fight off her mind control and escape deep into the forests to hone her powers. Out of spite, Ama released information on her creation, calling her Mara Zoroark, or specifically NIGHTMARE.
___

Mara is now a Fairy/Psychic, created from having, musharna, whimsicott, and grumpig genes spliced into her DNA.
The pearl on her forehead and tail, releasing her dream mist to resemble her mane. She controls the powers on her belly, legs, and paws with her psychic powers, making them hover and dance about in the air to mystify and captivate her prey. She took a vow against physical attack moves, seeing her sharp claws and teeth as a hindrance to her image as a “gentle predator”
-
Dream mist forces people and pokémon to sleep, Mara Arks replacing their diet of flesh and blood with dreams and souls; however, if she sees someone outside of her territory that has sustained fatal injuries, then she’ll eat them to: “Keep the forest clean of ‘trash’”.
To avoid eating bad dreams, Mara learned to be caring and docile. They rarely travel, their territory deep in forests and marked by the misty terrain that eschews from their bodies; when they do though, it’s in the early morning, when the air is cold and fog is everywhere so they blend in.
-
Having a stronger maternal instinct, Mara Arks aren’t actively aggressive to people who enter their territory; their fairy typing lets them live a very long time, and will pass on this spiritual energy to travelers they find asleep in their garden.
However, the people they take care of are kept in a deep coma from being constantly exposed to the dream mist; they are essentially held prisoner so the pokémon can feed on their hopes and dreams.

___

Having a such a strong bond with the people they find, the only danger they pose is when people attempt to rescue their hostages, or their hostage starts trying to wake up. They become extremely protective/possessive, challenging them to a battle to prove themselves, that they’re strong enough to survive. Having spent often months, sometimes even years in a comatose state however, most find their muscles have atrophied greatly. Flailing about desperately, they tire themselves out, making it easier for Mara to put them back to sleep.
-
While it’s rare, some trainers have shown enough determination to escape, and it’s when they do that the nightmare truly begins. The fairy energy she bestowed upon letting her teleport wherever they are, and trainers begin to see her in the corners of their mind unable to forget her.
Many trainers will wake up late at night feeling a presence by their side, discovering themselves in Mara’s lap as her claws stroke through their hair caressing them as she feeds on their dreams.
