Apparently hummingbirds have the fastest digestion in the animal kingdom. Do with that knowledge what you will.

This is the sort of random digestive system fun fact I live for, so I'll keep it in mind if I'm ever in the area for a bird pred. :p

Not terribly surprising given how fast they move their wings and their size. Little wonder they have to subsist on a liquid sugar diet, the high octane rocket fuel of "food".

Now if we're going for impressive talents; cone snails and those ultra deep water Gulper fish both readily capable of enveloping macro prey...

A shrew can starve in mere hours if it does not eat. They need to consume two to three times their body mass every day to survive.
