Potential Vore Saga... Would anyone want to read it?

Permanent Linkby Chameleonette on Sun Dec 01, 2013 9:56 pm

So, since I've been featuring my favorite pairing (from the PT anime) in a lot of my vore works (such as these ones: http://aryion.com/g4/view/246063, http://aryion.com/g4/view/252380, http://aryion.com/g4/view/252895, and an upcoming short comic thing with them), I've been really considering writing a vore saga with them that would be on-going.

How can it be on-going if it contains lots of vore with the same characters, you ask? Well, that's because the guy has a canon power in which he can write stories into reality. Thus, he could explore as many different and wild situations to do with vore as he wanted. I thought it would be fun to play around with as an ongoing vore series. She would likely have her memory of each situation erased after he brings her back, to provide fresh responses/reactions to each scenario. And I don't plan to just have him immediately embrace the idea, but rather more like a 'falling into madness' type of thing, much like his ancestor who had the same power and eventually became so crazy that he wanted to see everyone's stories end in tragedy.

And I know these are fandom characters, which is why I'm asking if anyone here would want to read it. I'm also alright with keeping the saga to myself if it doesn't interest people here (since I doubt many have seen the show). But I do intend to make it so anything you would need to know about the characters is introduced IN the fic series, itself. The rest would be pretty blatantly geared toward the vore (and perhaps some sex-related stuff, too).

That said, I will also gladly take suggestions for vore scenarios. I can't say I would use them all, by any means, but I'll take things into consideration. I've already got quite a few ideas on-hand that range from giants to mermen and other things that could easily be created with the use of a power like his. But what I do want to avoid is anything that isn't oral vore or CV. I'm afraid that I'm just not interested in anal, hair vore, etc.

It's fine to say if you're not interested, too! Thanks in advance for any input on this. : )

I'd be interested, you've been making me want to re-watch the series anyways... Then again, I only watched episodes 1-5 then caught the second half of the finale, so my perspective is a bit screwy anyways...

It's a poor excuse for a haiku, but still one of the better things I have written. XD

Hi Chameleonette,

I think you're a great artist and writer, and here's my thoughts:
  • The title of your blog suggests that receiving recognition is one of your primary goals in creating things (It's the same for me. :D) If so, I would suggest that you take a look at other m/f writers (like nephilim) and think about what they do to keep people's interest and get the attention that they do.
  • Regarding fanfiction. Personally I always prefer reading about original vore characters, HOWEVER -- there are some people who gain vast amounts of popularity on Eka's Portal by using characters from popular franchises such as Naruto. I don't know much about anime, though, so an obscure one might not have the same draw.
  • Ultimately, as Eka and leshana will tell you, the goal of the site is self-expression. I firmly believe that if you simply create exactly what you want, with full confidence, exuberance, and high quality, it will be aappreciated highly, even if by a small audience.

Aww, darn! You missed out on some of the best episodes, imo. But I'm glad to know you're interested, despite that. : )

I'm definitely familiar with Nephilim's work and she was one of the biggest influences for me to join this site. I do not have her level of writing talent, however. And the big part of why I asked is because I plan to write it regardless, but when it comes to writing, I'm more reluctant to share it---particularly since, as your second bullet in the list says, it's a lesser-known series and I'm not sure that many people would enjoy reading about something they're not familiar with, if it's fanfiction. Unlike art, writing has to really grab the reader and I'm not sure if an obscure series will really pique many people's interest. The fact of the matter is, though, I'm terrible at creating original characters and fleshing them out and I'm much more comfortable writing fanfiction, particularly of series that I'm very familiar with and love. It's my niche and where I feel most confident in my writing.

Thanks a lot for your input. I'll definitely take that all into consideration if I decide to pursue posting what I write here.

It'd totally read the heck out of those. It's been a while since I've seen the series, but nothing like well written vore fiction to get me interested in things again.

I think it's fine to start in a place that you feel most confident and comfortable.

The thing about fanfiction is that it's a tradeoff. You save time normally used for character development, but you pay the price of losing people who don't understand the characters.

HOWEVER! I think you can make lemonade out of this. If you start your stories off with a bang--some immediately exciting or impossible proposition like:
"Will you stop fucking poking my stomach!?" Ken slapped away the girl's hand.

...then I don't think it will matter whether people know the character are not, if they are 'grabbed' as you say by the first opening, they may wnat to read on anyways. That's how I came to love the writer Agora (f pred anime fanfiction writer), because as soon as he starts his stories, you immediately know "oh man, so many people gonna get eaten!" and you just want to read on despite having no idea what all these japanese names are referring to.

Hope that makes sense!

@Animatedfantasy - Thanks! I'm glad to hear it. : ) I can't vouch for how well-written it will be, but I have an introductory/starting chapter that I already finished tonight. (I've felt really inspired to write it. XD;;; )

@Indighost - I'm actually going to be starting each chapter off with a sort of 'story' introduction kind of thing that goes along with how the series was. (IE: "Once upon a time...") It may not be immediately catching to some people or a huge BANG, but I have long since decided that it's a fitting way to start off the chapters ever since the idea of writing it came to me, especially since he's writing stories. XD

@chechico - Thanks a lot. : ) I hope not to disappoint. I have written one other vore story. It was my first submission here. But I have been meaning to write more vore stories since. I haven't felt incredibly inspired to do so until this idea came to me.

I'm definitely enjoying your art as of now. You're art style and abilities are just phenomenal at this point in time. As I mentioned in a previous picture, I loved the idea of this character's ability to write stories into reality, and I have to say, if he keeps writing her back into existence after each occasion, then you've got me on board for reading such stories. :D

Granted, I'd probably read it anyways, but still. Reforming is one of the best things in my opinion, even if it means wiping memories to do it. <3

Either way, whatever you decide to do I'm sure will be very successful and amazing. :D Remember, do what YOU want to do when it comes to art. If you enjoy what you make, then others will too. ^^

Thank you so very much! And I'm happy to hear that you're interested. : ) I've actually never considered re-forming vore, but with a power like his, it seems like the most likely route to take it.

I definitely do what I love, there's no doubt about that! But I appreciate the support, nonetheless. : ) I'll do my best~

I am reading the blogs a bit backwards here, but if you decide to write stories with characters from series, do please describe them.
