UpdateRegarding my mother... she's doing OK. The problem was identified as Supra Ventricular Tachycardia. She has to be very careful and mindful of the severe changes in her heartrate, as said condition can occur as a warning of a heart attack. But she's OK for now and was given a med to help regulate that problem with sudden bursts of rapid heartbeat.
I'm cautiously optimistic. Still worried, but optimistic. It's a condition she has to live with for the rest of her life, unfortunately, and could result in heart surgery if it gets worse, but she's no longer confined to a hospital bed and she seems to be in good spirits. That's really all I could ask for at this point. Thanks for the well wishes, guys. I'm sure she appreciates them as much as I do. 4 Comments Viewed 10676 times

Re: UpdateGood to hear they have a handle on things. Keep your chin up. While it may not be a perfect solution, it is something better than the nknown.
I love bellies! Round, Soft, hard, Prey filled, food filled, Inflated, or Pregnancy, so long as it is big and round.

Re: UpdateYeah, those live with the rest of your life conditions suck, but since I've had co-workers who had to have their heart beats regulated, there are a lot of things that can be done, so she could live another thirty years with minimal issues. I'm glad it turned out to be this and not something far worse. A neighbor's daughter went in to her doc for headaches and found out she has inoperable brain cancer. Ironically, it responded to chemo, so she may yet have years left.
We just never know. Enjoy your time with your mom, tell her you love her, because this heart problem might not be what ends your time together. We just never know. "Mmmm," Purple eyes stare enviously at a young woman's chest. "I might have to borrow that..."
A bit later as whimpers of despair fade, Im'Rhys admires her newest bewb job, "Ooooh, these look so much better on me."
Re: UpdateGlad to hear everything is okay!
Re: UpdateI am really glad to hear she is alright, both for her sake, and for the rest of your family. It's good to hear she is in high spirits, because being in an unpleasant mood can further health issues. Good wishes to both you and your mom.
