Breaking my blog virginity!

Permanent Linkby Krono on Mon May 11, 2009 2:04 am

Well, I figured since not many people here know me too well that I would simply make this more of an "about me" sort of thing. I've actually never written a blog before so I'm not very good at it.

Alright so my name is... Actually I don't trust the internet enough to give out my real name here. lol. Just call me Krono. I've lived here in Hawaii for 9 years now, moved here from upstate NY. I learned about this community when I was 14 although I was mainly a lurker until I was 18, I'm 21 now. Vore is something that has intrigued me for as long as i can remember. Growing up in NY I would always catch garter snakes and then feed them tree frogs. I still feel bad for one snake though; I fed it a toad not knowing that they were poisonous. Poor snake. Anyways here in Hawaii you would have to go to a zoo in order to see a snake. There are no wild ones here. But I digress. I am currently holding two jobs and going to college full time. At one of my jobs I pump gas. It's not a very glorious job but it's a source of income. At my other job I'm a mechanic. I like fixing cars. I've been tinkering and wrenching on them since I was 14. I actually just took my ASE test last week to get certified. I wont know if I passed for like a month though when they mail me my results. I'm pretty sure I did well on it though. It wasn't as hard as I was expecting, just a lot more boring. At college I am an auto mechanics major. It's pretty fun. I also have a girlfriend who I love dearly. We've been going out for almost 18 months now. After I graduate for auto mechanics, I plan on going for mechanical engineering. I have too many ideas and not enough resources or knowledge to put them together with what I have. Instead I just sketch them. That's pretty much all i've been drawing lately. eventually I will probably draw some more vore though. My current project right now is getting my dads car back on the road. It's a 99 cadillac eldorado. I did the headgaskets on it and got it running great. It was on the road for a week before the transmission went out. So now I have to take the tranny out and work my magic on it too. I guess if it's not one thing it's the other.

So, I'm curious, how many of you fellow vores like messing with cars?

Well, no sense talking to you anymore, cause your not pure! Your not a virgin!! Harlet!

Cars? Well, I am not the mans' man really. I know enough about cars that I can change oil, pump my own gas, change tires, fix brake lines, fix brakes, fix suspension. My dad is a mechanic so I know some about cars, but I am clueless on alot of things still, that is complex machinery! It is still interesting, just something I am not really into that much. I am more computer and office management, which I am going to college for. So when do you graduate? When you get your test back?

Anyway, looking forward to seeing art from ya and take it easy.

I have one more year to go before I graduate. Becoming ASE certified will help me a lot financially though. Being an uncertified mechanic means I'm not getting very much for it. My bosses are paying a lot for workers insurance on me, so actually I'm getting paid more to pump gas than to fix cars right now. Once I become certified, the workers insurance on me drops dramatically. So hopefully, if my bosses are nice, they'll give me a raise. lol. They said it will be about 4 weeks before they mail the result back for the test... I'm not that good with computers. I mean I can work on computers pretty good, but actually fixing computer problems is too hard for me. So you're probably one up on me there. Computers are more complex than cars to me... Anyways, thanks for the comment! And you take it easy too! Do you do art?

I'm not a mechanic, but I know a thing or two about the inner workings of vehicles.

Like I know the difference between bhp and hp. BHP is base horsepower, what you get from the engine when you're idling or cruising at a low speed, and it is usually less than what is advertised, which is HP, or Peak Horsepower, and that is achieved at a certain level of RPM. What the RPM is for peak horsepower, is entirely different, from one vehicle to another. But usually, you have to get the RPM above 3,000.

Like, for example, the Bugatti Veyron's 1,020 Horsepower. That's Peak Horsepower. It's BHP is about 975, which is no less impressive, but you don't even get peak horsepower out of the Veyron until you get to about 5,600 RPM (redline at 7,300).

I also know a lot about drivetrains. Vehicles with Mid-Engine drivetrains tend to have better ability to countersteer than those that are front-engine rear wheel drive.

Oh. How did I find you?

These lovely Interactive Stories; currently I'm writing in the Vore Zoo, and enjoying what I'm accomplishing.
