I'm not sure if it's you who asked for some inside views, but I can tell there will be quite a few of them

Hi Karbo,
Gorgeous artwork---I would love to own a copy. The subject matter is right up my alley too, and I will seriously consider buying both.
In response to your comment on lower-than-expected profit, and someone mentioning possible piracy, I'd suggest making a hard-copy, paper-and-ink version available. I've published through lulu.com before and it's the easiest thing in the world*. Try looking for reviews on their comic printing formats. Hard-copy is immune to piracy, and I for one would greatly prefer a physical artefact.
* I didn't exactly test their full capabilities, but they churn out 9"x6" full-colour cover/black-and-white internal books cheaply and reliably. I'd be happy to answer any questions I can over message.

A hard copy is not immune to piracy. It really only takes one person with a good scanner to post it on a file sharing site like Rapidshare. While I too wouldn't mind having a physical copy, Karbo is going to have to see if having both types is really worth it. Neither one will stop determined pirates so it really is down to whether there is an increase in sales because people wanted a hardcopy.
On another note I liked the first book. It was humorous and the art was great, but I was slightly disappointed in the lack of internal shots. With the previews and the promise of more internal shots in the second book I'm really looking forward to this release.

Karbo... You seriously rock man... You've also got some serious talent...
Keep up the good work and I'll just have to buy the next book when it comes out.

I wasn't as clear as I could have been. While scanning is easy, for me owning the hardcopy would be preferable, and it would take a weirdly determined pirate to cut into sales by reproducing and distributing it. My earlier argument only works if there are enough people wanting paper to balance the effort of producing a parallel version. Maybe a poll would be a good idea?
Love the perspective in that shot. Divebombing GTS harpies are a very exciting development!

A little update..
The production of the manga is advancing but rather slowly... I have seen things lately that don't especially motivate me to draw it...

Looks really good I can't wait!
And what did you see? If I may ask? Did you discover some piracy?
