Slaying the Fairy Queen

Postby Graphis » Tue Oct 25, 2005 12:26 pm

Oh, love it! You get better with each picture. Great job on the color. The thought process of the fairy queen, to me, is like she's savoring the situation, hungry, but not rushing it.

Ever consider doing smaller preds/larger prey? I know you like the macro thing, but I couldn't help asking.

Thanks for the feedback

I am glad this is exactly the feeling I tried to express. This and the mimetism thing ( wich work a lot better in black and white and grayscale ^^ ) where she blend in the surroundings.

As for doing something else than macro/micro well I never really tried. I did once some quick sketches for Frakass wich ended weird and unsatisfying but I'll soon retry with a picture for Kisiro.

Basically the thing that bother me in same size human vore is that I find strange and disturbing the moment where the pred stretch maw impossibly wide to engulf the prey. I just can't represent myself that.

I second that request! I would love seeing one of your faries eat someone significantly larger than herself. I don't know why I like your fairies so much, but I actually like them the best.

Hmm... Maybe I should have been more clear. What I meant was, I prefer the size to be closer together than you normally draw, but still in the realm of beleivablity. to me, a perfect match of pred and prey (for humanlike creatures) would be a 5'8"-6' pred and a 18-24" prey. This is just the ratio, not the actual sizes of course. The prey would generally almost come up to the pred's knee.

I hope I explained what I'm hoping for much better. Whether you actually decide to take my preferences, I don't worry about, I'll always like your stuff no matter what you do with it.

Graphis : Mhh I can certainly try that. I plan to do later a serie with a naga. It could be a nice occasion. :)

Throku : uhh larger ? Ohhh wait that gives me an idea.. she could eat a dragon. It seem to be the new fashion at Big gulp boards

Amanda : Thanks :) Well I colorized it ^^

lol : Glad you like it :) The last pics will be longer to come tough... Hard point of view ( if I stick to what I have in mind ) and lot of characters to draw ( yes this stomach begin to be crowded ^^ )

Nagas and dragonesses... *shivers*

My favorite predators. Thank you for considering that, Karbo. I await the naga one you plan on pins and needles.

* Is hypnotized by Throku's avatar and wonder when the little man will loose his grip *

Well the Dragon thing was more of a joke ( read this thread : http://members.boardhost.com/Big_Gulp/msg/18291.html ) but don't worry, I'll try to reduce progessively the size of the preds for futures works

Should you choose to to do a "same-size" picture but you don't want to "streatch the preds maw impossibly wide" I can think of two possible solutions. (Perhaps you've already thought of them. If so, sorry.)

The first solution is to not show the maw at all. An example of this would be a two-part picture, the first where the pred is licking their lips at the prey (or doing some other suggestive action) and the second part of the picture is the pred with a big belly. (But then again you seem to like drawing mouths, so this probably won't work for you.)

The second solution is to simply bend the rules. A picture like this might show the prey halfway in the preds mouth, but drawn so that the preds mouth isn't streched any larger than normal. Physically incorrect, but I've seen pictures in which it works out okay. (A varation on this is to show the prey's arms or legs sticking in out out of the pred's mouth. The mouth doesn't look distorted yet shows a pred eating a same size prey.)

I hope these suggestions were usefull, but I look foreward to your work, regardless of what it may be.

That is probably THE most constructive criticism I've seen on these boards, especially if Karbo wants to do same size vore.

Gah! No! Noey! No! No! No! Noes!

Karbo, I forbid you to venture into the realm of same size vore!

Comeon buddy... Not nearly enough GTS vore around. You bridge the gap for me.. I can't enjoy vore unless it has GTS and I can't enjoy GTS unless it has vore. Both comunities don't specialize in the other, so essentially 9/10ths of the stuff posted is unappealing. You provide that 1/10 with an unparralleled level of quality. ^u^

Besides.. >.> Same size vore is for stupid heads! *sticks out tounge to everyone else* XD

But heh, do whatever it is you like pal! I support you all the way! *gives a thumbs up*

(Just kidding guys! Smiles! ^u^)

Thanks for the compliment ^^

Well I will sure stay in giantess vore in the end but really, when I see some of Dorogato's work, I am tempted to try ... *Raru*

Graphis: Thanks for the compliment.

Karbo: You're welcome.

Also, there is something special about Raru, isn't there. I wonder what it is.

Should you decide to draw some Raru pictures you don't have to make them same sized vore. Some of the pictures make her out to be what I would call a mini-giantess. Some of the pictures (such as this one or this one. put her at at least 20 feet in height, which isn't exactly the same size as her "poor" human-sized prey.)

Oldman40k2003 : Raru is just very very cute ^^

Graphis : I did a try at nagas. Well it is still macro but there is progress : the prey is now too large for being taken in one gulp. I may draw the swallowing sequence later if I feel it :)

I personally hate same size vore. That said, do what you want, since you are the best vore artist on the net and all :P
