Oh yes, he asked permission, there is no problem at all ^_^
There is some non-vore pictures that I did only post on my deviant art gallery which is why there is more of them than what you saw here
But there is even more if you count all black and white realistic pictures

So, does this make you the copyright Nazi Nazi?

You may not mean much by it, but still, Deathworks is doing a valuable service to make sure artists like Karbo don't have their art posted on the wrong sites or posted in someone elses name. I believe that's why Kemo went into hiding. People as talented as they are deserve to have control over where their art is posted. Keep up the good work DW, for freedom is the right of all sentient beings...that was Optimus Prime.sorgens wrote:HA! The copyright Nazi couldn't resist. Can you dig it?

Well, I called myself a Copyright Soviet, 1. Because I dislike copyright Nazism. And 2. Because to me, vore art, and art in general should not belong to one person, it should belong to the community. I would invoke a quotation from some fictional character from a children's TV show, but at my age that would be silly. More than anything, it just become annoying to constantly see some one keeping an eye on every thing, busy bodying and being Big Brother (think George Orwell). Its getting old now.l

Good work karbo. I'd buy you a drink to celebrate, but this is hard to do over the internet, adn I'd probably drink your liquor whilst you weren't looking.

Good
Hi!
Good. Unfortunately, thus far my experiences with Giantess Garden were less than thrilling, to say the very least, which is why I passed on the information. I am glad to hear that it is different this time.
Sorgens: The way I see it, the artists have the right to decide what happens with their children and what does not happen. And since I care about and respect the artists, I try to help whenever I can.
Ah, and by the way, I am German, so calling me a Nazi is just as meaningless as you can get. The point is, here in Germany, many politicians and lobbyists use "that's like the Nazis" all the time the moment they run out of arguments, figuring that that is the one kill-them-all argument. In reality, it just shows that a person has run completely out of arguments for their own position and try to conjure up some social magic. I figured I just informed you about this, as you may wish to choose some other term (hopefully more original) to refer to me.
And as far as Giantess Garden is concerned, there have been cases in the past where permission was not asked, which is why I was worried here.
Karbo: As always, your pictures are extremely well-drawn. And as always, I don't know what to say. Anyhow, I hope to see more of your great art in the future as well.

Re: Good
And I am worried that there will always be those who want to police and rule over the free exchange of ideas. Art is at its base, an idea. Art is the expression of ideas. Those who seek to control art, seek to control ideas. And I will not invoke a Nazi referenece, as per your request, but I will say that I agree with you, here in the US people will call others Nazis at the drop of a hat, and its rediculous often times, but I always wonder about those who so obsessively must be involved in the way that others go about their activities.

Giantessgarden, though it may not thrill you so much, is one of the oldest and most solid sites in the vore scene. That site is most concerned with letting people see giantess and vore material, than it is with the business aspect of our community. Many of us can say that giantessgarden was a very pivotal site in our introduction to the scene, and would not trade it for anything. There are many out of print, out of production images and videos that have been featured on the site, and would you take it down if it was your decision? All over the vore and giantes forums, even the furry forums, there were people who were gravely disturbed when it was down for those months some time ago. The fact is, preserving what little we have seems more important that the dollar value of what it is for most of the people in our community.

Sigh
Hi!
I am sorry, Karbo. I did not want to see this escalate unnecessarily, which was also the reason for me not to thank those who have supported me. However, that statement of MrFrost is something I can't let stand like that.
My original clash with Giantess Garden was a few years ago over I-Raf-You images. Being relatively naive, besides informing Kitaraf, I also wrote an e-mail to the admin of Giantess Garden. There was no reaction whatsoever by Giantess Garden, neither to my mail (I didn't even get an answer, not even a "STFU") nor to Kitaraf's reaction.
Kitaraf's reaction is documented in his open letter on his homepage:
http://www.eonet.ne.jp/~ks24914/irafyou ... /16-Garden
And before you say this was ages ago, the most recent incident of I-Raf-You images presented at Giantess Garden was just a bit more than 1 month ago, under the title I-Raf-You images. It was on the drawings page (the one with only six images presented at a time), and only 5 images were actually from I-Raf-You games while the 6th was an image by Tay and completely unrelated. That was around June 10th, 2007.
That is why I am careful about Giantess Garden.
And while I am being so off-topic, I can only re-iterate that I merely wish to protect the artists whose art has given me a lot of joy. And Karbo is one of them.

Ahem
Hi!
MrFrost: Ahem, the examples you are giving have one big flaw: I don't visit any of these places. So, how am I supposed to know about what is or is not going on there?
And you forgot to mention one more place: Eka's Portal. Oh, but wait, they have been banned from here in an official statement:
http://aryion.com/modules.php?name=Foru ... pic&t=6079
And guess who was one of the persons involved in that development...
The rationale here is simple:
* If I don't visit a place, I can't comment on their activities.
* If I don't know an artist, I can't recognize their art.
Of course, when I hear that someone asks people to respect their rights, I am ready to give at least moral support, but I am not going out to do detective work (this is why you don't ever see me intervening in furry stuff or male predator stuff - it's not something I have a connection to)
There is actually just a handful of sites and artists I know, some of which have already granted universal permissions, so my activities are actually extremely limited. It is still interesting how much attention I am drawing with this, though.
Of course, getting no reaction whatsoever and seeing Giantess Garden do things repeatedly does not really endear it to me (it is hard to love someone who steps on your toes and then twists the foot), however, in this case, it was merely an issue of availability: I am visiting it regularly and I know that Karbo is quite active here. So, it was normal for me to notice and normal to inform/check with Karbo. Thus, I am objecting to claims that I am only after Giantess Garden.
I suggest we don't argue anymore about this point here, because this is a sub-forum dedicated to Karbo and his art and this discussion is not really helpful at this point.
If it bugs you that much, consider creating a general thread on the issue in the general discussion forum, the rest of the world forum or PM me, whatever suits you best.
