I have scans of her devouring Mattie Franklin, and will gladly posted should anyone be interested in them.

Re: Vore in western comics
Well, let's see... I recall a Thor comic in which various Viking-type warriors were threatened by a huge snake-like monster living in a lake, and it snatches one in its jaws- panel shows warrior being chomped on whole and swallowed, I think. Whether or not I still have this issue is problematical, considering the chaos of my life in the last decade.
Vore was rare in early days of Marvel, but it did appear sometimes. And usually implied. It seems it was most likely to appear in Thor, though, because of the mythical man-eating monsters. (I began collecting some Marvel titles in the late Sixties... twenty-five cents, then, suckers!) There was a story in Arion (a wizard character from DC, I think, whom I liked because he was handsome and had long hair) about a giant demon (sigh) named Dormamu (?) who looked as if he were devouring the soldiers fighting him. He also devoured them through his hands or something.
Conan faced huge monsters. A giant mummified king who eats several of the men with him.
I know these things exist, because I had 'em and may still have 'em. Couldn't find them to save my life. (Two storerooms full of junk which I mean to go through but who knows when that will happen. I just open the door and my heart sinks.)

Re: Vore in western comics
I got Runaways: Rock Zombies for Christmas and I discovered a very good, very visual Male vore scene in the story. I really prefer WE personally but still, from a vore standing point I felt this was a good vore scene.
Its a slightly stocky manager who gets eaten head first by a dragon, its pretty quick (for a comic scene) anyway and it was visualized really well by the art.
It happens when the guy tries to steal a magical staff from one of the main leads in the series, a teen wtich girl. Perhaps I can scan it if no one can find it online.

There was a cover to and X-Men (or X-Force) comic with a blue monster burping with big belly holing a cape implying he ate one of the characters.

Thor swallows Wasp who attempted to enter his brain through his mouth. At least that's what happened... I do not have the shots when she was swallowed, just when she got puked out.

Here's an oldie: A Wolf gulps down Hoppy (the Marvel Bunny) with nice internals which is rare for a 40's comic.

Grimm Fairy Tales comic No. 33 has a scene where a woman who is suffering from cancer is given the 'DNA' of a snake to help cure her. It all goes right however when she is alone with her youngest son.

That is singularly both the creepiest and the coolest monster I think I've ever seen Marvel produce.
