Eventually I realized that I was dangerously open about it and started covering my tracks. Fortunatly as you may be able to gather from my name I am really wierd and most people couldnt figure me out in a million years. As of late I've been able to say pretty much anything because I'm able to talk my way out of anything and despite my diction most people assume im high all the time :)

People are so stupid the only man who can convience you hes entirely sane must be deeply disturbed.

Oh and this is my first post I would submit art (my crap is pretty good) but I have no scanner, however in regards to this topic if you e-mail me dont make any "clear" references to vore I cant get my e-mail for some reason and have to use my brothers account and I KNOW you understand.

sounds alot like how I grew up about vore, except that i didn't know that I liked it.

Never come out about it. Don't intend to.

Vore's not a huge part of my life, to be honest. I sorta "fade" in and out of it. About once or twice monthly I'll suddenly have the strong urge to possess a giant, bloated, jiggling stomach. The rest of the time, I'm pretty much an Average Joe.

Vore was never important enough to me that I considered it part of who I am. I just like it. Maybe that affects how people feel about "coming out."

As for friends/family/environment... well, I have very accepting family, wonderful friends, and I live in the Bible Belt. Nobody ever asked, so I've never said. I probably won't either. Might just play stupid.

I was reading this over, and I said to myself "Damnit, I wish I had someone I could admit this too."

But I don't, not really. So, here I am people. You're the first people to know, whoever reads this. Ikiris is into vore.

I have to admit here that I'm finding all these comments and stories fascinating.

Now, at the time of this I'm actually working on my first genuine vore story, it's taking a long, long time, as I can only work upon it in short bursts, and I'm ultra-critical of my own work...hence I keep changing, and re-writing bits (Karbo: probably gonna be another month of so before completion - sorry...hope it's worth it!).

But my wife is constantly catching me typing out the damned thing, and kept showing an interest in what I'm writing.

So I've had to be sneaky in the extreme and have two versions, the first is a 'clean' one that begins the narrative in the same manner...but then goes on into the realm of blah blah blah fantasy fiction which I've made deliberately obtuse, incomprehensible, boring, long winded and filled with unpronouncable names  ....it doesn't matter what! I've just quickly typed out pure crap....but the point is, my wife hates this sort of thing, and reading more than a paragraph bores her to tears....so I can quickly alt+tab to this 'fake' version whenever she comes into the room, and hide the true story in the usual manner - problem solved! Her interest catered for.

She's semi-computer literate, and can find her way into directory structures, and knows the basics of file management - thus the need to the highly elaborate filing system. We also share the same email account, and so I have to be ultra-cautious on that front as well.

Now, just to change tack a little, I know that many of you guys go one step beyond the 'split personality' syndrome, mentioned in earlier threads, and actually have a genuine role-playing character that's like an extension of your alter ego, and reflects many aspects of your tastes, fantasys personality etc. I do not go down this route, and do not have any sort of reflective vore character, or online alter ego, my tastes are based upon giantess-swallows-man, or female-shrinks-and-swallows-man type scenarios, and I've always been far too shy to engage in any form of roleplaying with strangers.

I was wondering if any of you would be prepared to share your online RP characters with others in the real world? In many ways, I feel that this is even more terrifying than simply admitting to a love of vore, as these characters are facets of ourselves, and can often reveal deeply personal aspects of our secret hearts?

Works a treat right?

I still love that story, the thing is...knowing my luck....I'd die and go to the pit of Hades (hey, I'm a vore fan, no chance of saving my wretched soul!) and meet the Succubi....and my heart would miss a beat. As far as I'm concerned this is heaven.

.....But of course, these beings are aware of your innermost thoughts and desires, and as a result, she's realise that being swallowed alive is EXACTLY what I want...and not a punishment at all. Consequently, she'd let me go, and send me to the Malebolge instead :(

I have never told my parents, even as wasted as I get sometimes; I will never. The only person I have told is my best friend, but even then, I did not go into details. To make sure he would be open, we both took a fetish test to see what we had. After that was done, I said,"There's one fetish not on here, called voraphilia. Where one is aroused by watching an entity eat another", and he gave me a look and I dropped the subject, never to be brought back up.
I think I will carry my secret to the gracve...

As a usual visitor to this site, this is my first time to the forums. I saw this thread, and I could not resist.

Man I never knew how lucky I was

I mean at first of course i snuck around at first but slowly I realized just how little my friends and family care about the ineer working of a freaky little thing like me. My family isn't stupid in the least my brothers a genius and my parents are way too good at their job. I think Ive been scared straight.. well sorta, I'm allowed to do pretty much anything I want because no matter what they know I'm too much of a gentle oaf to ever do anything bad and too smart to get myself hurt so we are pretty free in our house

Hehe im sorry but reading bout you guys just made me realize how lucky I am. Also my firends would probly wouldnt mind at all they are too worried that I might be completely gay. HAHA FOOLS

Gamera wrote:Has anyone here admitted the vore fetish to the people in the "real" world? If so, how have they treated you? I have always wanted to, but I am far to cowardly to do so.. but maybe I will someday.

Other than the people I've met online who I've then become friends with in the real world, others don't know about my vore fetish, nor do I see the need to tell them.

Just like I don't care what the sexual fetishes are for my friends or relatives, they have never shown an interest in asking me for mine.

A better question might be, 'Why do vorarephiles always seem to feel the need to tell others about their fetish?'

Perhaps it is because it is an odd fetish, compared to say, something like a foot fetish. Some type of inner cry for understanding, where we doubt our own sanity for having a fetish so outside the norm. A need for 'normal' people to tell us that we're okay, and we can still be their friends.

My advice is that if the discussion of fetishes doesn't come up, don't worry about it. Go on living your life in happiness.

If such a discussion does come up, wait for them to tell you their's first. If it's something mundane, like a foot fetish, laugh a bit, commenting on how that's such a common, boring fetish. Tell them that a real fetish is something cool and outlandish, like slowly being swallowed alive.

When they give you a surprised look, go on to describe all the virtues of such a fetish... giving oneself completely to another, or taking another completely into oneself. What can be more exotic than that?

If they have a fetish that seems just as odd, like say a scat or vomit fetish, give them a "Wow. That's as bad as mine..." type of reply. Nothing helps someone accept who you are, better than you accepting them for who they are.

I actually thought it was a fine question and an appropriate thread.

It just happens to be a question that comes up every few months, and the people who respond all seem to think that it's somehow important for vorarephiles to announce themselves to the world.

I just have to wonder why this is, since you don't find that with most other fetishes. This isn't a criticism to people who do announce themselves to their friends and families. I just find it curious that so many with this fetish feel that it is important to do so.

Well in my opinion If you tell someone close to you about it you would feel more free instead of bottled up, and you wouldnt have to keep it a secret and cover your tracks if people knew, just an opinion.

In my case I liked the idea of shrinking an tiny people since I was young, Never got in to vore, until I foun Toyokub "The woman shrinking at tiny size". His drawings sort of change my point of view (specially the darkzone). As of telling someone else in RL. I must admit I am afraid that people find out of it :). Is not the kind of thing you expect to talk about (unless the other person is also like it). Fortunately no one at home uses the computer but myself.

I already clear the history on my browser every time I use it, just because I'm wierdly paranoid.

I didn't actually acknowledge vore as anything different until I found this site. It was always kind of a sub-current in my mind.

And on an, eh... completely related note, how does one go about putting passwords on specific files? I have one on my OS (windows XP, sadly) but I'd like to be able to put passwords on certain files.
