Trying to find an artist

Postby Cpt » Mon Apr 24, 2006 11:05 pm

A while ago there was an artist here that posted some really well drawn pictures. I remember one sequence involved someone losing thier glasses, then a pred taking advantage of the situation. There was some more, always involved furries. I beleive a recurring character had glasses and a black shirt or something. Anyways, I've searched through the whole gallery I believe, looked up keywords and everything. But I came up empty handed. I know this is vague, I specified as best as I can remember. Anyone know what happened to this artist, thier name, etc?

That was Scott Calico. No one's really sure why it happened, but he took his gallery down and left without saying a word. Good luck finding him somewhere else.

A pity, he was a really good artist... I hope we'll get to see his work again.

...No, Scott hasn't taken down all his vore art, or anything of the kind. O.o

Why he left this site is something that I don't know so I'm not going to speculate on, but he's still there and he's still drawing. You probably need an FA account to view a lot of it, I dunno, but every piece I'd seen here is there and more.

Location: noun. 1: A situation, place, or locality. 2: The act of locating.

Odd, a few days ago I checked there too and can't find any vore drawing, I even made sure it Mature filter is off. My mistake perhaps!

Oh well. I'm pretty sure some artist would prefer to have his work in only one place. I didn't ask for an explaination from him but he certainly doesn't owe me one. Either way, take care!

Ive seen several artists rabbit to the dreaded...
Background Check.

Some freak out at that but fail to realize its a bit too late
by then. A few simple checks will tag you no matter. If
a company wants to dig up everything on you, just deleting
your art isnt going to hide you. And theyd have to know
that an artist name is connected to a player name to get
a handle on someone without hacking their computer.

But could be any number of other factors.

Sad when it happens though. And far too frequent.

Yeah it's for exactly this reason that I treat any online e-mail address or account name of mine that touches anything I wouldn't want, say my mother, to know, as though it were radioactive.

That is to say, the only place where my "clean" online identity meets my "dirty" online identity is in my mind... well, and my passworded computer. A third party trying to track my online name to an actual person would (hopefully) be only able to track it back to a dynamic IP number (which isn't the same dynamic IP the "clean" identity uses), and would be unable to go any farther.... I hope. ^^;

(As an aside, I've had several background checks done on me (they were required for my job) and either A: they didn't find out about my dirty secrets, or B: they did find out and didn't care, and also didn't tell me.)
Eye see you.

You left out C: they found out... and liked it...
heh-heh...

D: One's online antics aren't seen as a valid area to do a background check on. Such information as a client's IP address and usage information though rather trivial is private and there are laws that protect someone from acquiring it without a porper warrant. (That doesn't hold true to certain unnamed individuals.) Thougha simple online check in a google search of the person's name can be done, that person should always think twice about posting information such as name and location for the sake of privacy and identity. Though if it's just a name, I think someone would admit that names do repeat and it'd be a bad idea to try and peg someone to something without undeniable evidence.
