EDIT:Eka's Portal

EDIT: Since there seems to be some misunderstandings, allow me to clarify. This thread is meant to welcome and encourage Japanese and people who speak Japanese to participate on the site.We now have an official Japanese subforum. Thus, I would like to shift the focus of this thread towards improving the ties between Japanese speakers and English speakers. I hope this edit clarifies these intentions.

Eka's Portal is a site by and for the teacher to draw interest to a return of swallowed or uterus, is where you reach the uterus and swallowed interested in regression. From friendly place, please come here and feel at home whether playing. And there is really interesting and complex discussion, and some silly conversation there, where there are many actions. If by some chance to make illustrations and theories, showing lots and features the work you have to respect the opinions and listen to and answer. Of course, if you have any comments, please come in writing.

Good idea, good idea. It does seem this site focuses rather strongly on the English language, which makes it a bit difficult for Non-English speakers to participate. Although, I'll just say from my own personal experiences, many Japanese folks out there prefer to kinda stick together, thus why we see many Japanese sites out there either devoted to a handfull of Vore Artists, or galleries that allow artists to post such works.

Hi!

MidnightRose: I take this as moral support. Thank you.

Can: That translation is actually pretty good for Google translate. We had another case where someone was very polite/formal, and Google was convinced they were preaching about Allah! Anyhow, in my text I encouraged people to post both the original and the translation if they are using machine translation, so that any misunderstandings can be fixed by those who have confidence in both languages.

Ranger: There are many Japanese who are afraid of foreigners. However, there is also a strong faction interested in getting deeper contact. But the language barrier is extremely high and most Japanese have very little confidence in their English skills. So, I really think there is potential to further mutual understanding and make holes into the wall that separate our communities.

Canace: Yes, they have. And many of the artists I got in touch with were actually quite happy about being appreciated by foreigners. So increasing the contact between Japanese and foreigners is probably beneficial for all sides.

General: I spent a lot of time thinking whether this discussion in English should be moved into a different thread. But I think it is better to have it here. My aim here is to work towards integration, not segregation, so I want to encourage Japanese members to get in touch not only with each other, but also with foreigners interested in them and their world.

That's a nice idea, and I just wanted to say now, since you mentioned that a lot of Japanese are unconfident in their English skills, I just wanted to say that I'm sure the community (I know I can speak for myself for this, at least) can recognize when a poster is posting in english as a 2nd language whether they specify that or not in their post, and I just pay extra attention and do my best at trying to understand what they're saying. It doesn't bother me, I appreciate their trying to communicate in the language that I speak, I'm sure I'd sound similar if I tried to do the same with them. XD So even if they want to post in the more english-oriented threads, I wanted to say that I know I'm not the only one that is respectful to the english-as-a-2nd-language posters that are posting in English. I don't laugh at their "english skillz", I mean really, it's usually not -totally- different from fluent english.. I just thought I'd add that, dunno if it helps but, yeah :)

Hi!

Thank you, RaggedRook. I think the point you make is very important, and I hope that it will reach people's heart.

In other news, the Portal has started a Japanese subforum similar to the German one. Because of that, I want to shift the focus of this thread here even more on furthering the contact between Japanese speakers and English speakers. That subforum is Japanese posts only, but this thread here accepts both.

This is a great idea. We do need to break the culture barrier.

Not really a misunderstanding. You posted a thread entirely in japanese on an english language board. Not only that, but this board has a dedicated "japanese" forum specifically for posting in japanese, which makes this thread off-topic and miscatagorized as well as annoying to the 99% of us who don't speak japanese.

While I welcome the japanese artists and fans to the board, I do appreciate being able to read the forums and would prefer they remain in english. If you think this is harsh, I would direct your to consider the large number of japanese message baords which have blocked all north american IP addresses due to people posting on them in english.

To paraphrase the GTS Shrinker Uploader:

"I had expend effort to make the uploader useful for Non-[English] speakers.
In return, I ask you to see and tell your opinions HERE. You can use "[Japanese] topic" to tell your opinions."

I am completely cool with DW making the Japanese vore artists feel more welcome.

I could care less if this was posted on the English forums. I don't read half of the posts here anyway.

The Japanese do not block US vores because we post in English... They USUALLY do it because American vore fans STEAL THEIR WORK AND POST IT ON OTHER SITES WITHOUT PERMISSION...

Hi!

First of all, I want to thank Slash and Cownugget for their support.

Racer_xtreme: I am afraid you are mistaken on three accounts:

First, this site is not strictly English only. You will not find any rule saying so, and in fact, we already have a thread here inviting Spanish speaking people to communicate with each other in Spanish. At least that is what I could gather from the Spanish (!) title of the thread. Originally, I was aiming only at Japanese speaking members with this thread, which is why I wrote it in Japanese.

Second, as Cownugget said, we are not blocked from Japanese sites because we post in English. It is because they have the feeling that we do not respect their feelings towards their art and simply steal it. I have seen all of this on both sides - the mistrust some Japanese have towards foreigners, and the utter disregard for the feelings of the artists some members of the English language community show. This is exactly the reason why I am pushing for increased activity of Japanese members here on the Portal - in order to get more contact between the communities. This way, I hope that more non-Japanese will understand the feelings of the Japanese artists, and the undecided Japanese members of the community may see that not all foreigners are monsters.

Third, as a minor technicality, I want to point out that the Japanese subforum was created in response to this very thread. So, this thread could not have been posted there as it had not existed yet.

I admit that the way I initially phrased it may have been misleading for some, and I have tried to correct that. I am sorry about the ruckus that had caused and I hope that people understand that I have good intentions.

As I said, I hope this thread can be used as a focal point of contact between Japanese speaking and English speaking members, with both posting in either language as they feel fit to do. Because locking up Japanese members in the ghetto of the Japanese subforum is about the last thing I want to see.

I apologies if this was not clear before, Deathworks have asked me and got my permission before he created this thread.

Japanese is a unique case. They do have a lot to contribute to this community. I think it is mutually beneficial that we allow them to post here in their own language without too much to worry about.

Deathworkks:

First post in the new Japanese Forum (by you): Fri Feb 12, 2010 11:48 pm

First post in this thread (also by you): Fri Feb 12, 2010 12:59 pm

Ergo, you made a post in the new japanese forum one hour and eleven minutes before creating this thread. Ergo, the japanese forum existed before you created this thread, and you were aware of it, and you were able to access it, and you even created a thread in it. Ergo, your statement "I want to point out that the Japanese subforum was created in response to this very thread. So, this thread could not have been posted there as it had not existed yet" is untrue.

It just seems you are a complete rules nazi when it comes to any behavior you do not like, and expect everyone to go along with you when you behave in a way that suits your views. Then you bash down any opposition with long winded posts and your constantly online status.

Secondly, in regards to Cownugget and Deathworks saying we are blocked because of image theft: This is true, but there are more than one message board which has specifically stated it is because of posts in english.

Eka:

I agree completely, and I hope we attract the japanese community as well as the english one! :-)

However, I do not post in French because it is not polite to the board of which the vast majority speaks only english. Even those who do speak multiple languages primarilly share english as a common language, and so it is polite for those of us with multiple languages to post in english. I think it is very appropriate that you have created specific language boards for other languages. But when I see posts on the main boards in a language I do not speak, it leaves me feeling left out of my own community.

But, in the end it is your board and I can respect your decisions.
