Lava Lamp styled bellies

A prey is squeezed into the stomach, eyes wide in terror and body slick with slime. Before they can begin to struggle and scream out for their lives, an almost neon light fills up the digestive chamber, the top and bottom walls emitting odd glowing blobs that aimlessly float up and down. A biological Lava Lamp.

I'm usually quite keen on realism and as much as I love stomachs, I don't feel like there is quite enough diversity in bellies. Maybe I'm looking in the wrong places, maybe there actually aren't enough...Or, I just have a thing for Lava Lamps.

Ooo..Pretty...

Could be cool if the prey gets turned into part of the lava goo.

It'd be cool if the walls of the predator's belly were transparent, too, so anybody could see in and out.

Haha this is starting to sound like a nitro_titan artwork ^^ I think it would be pretty cool.

This seems like a cool idea to apply to a sci-fi race adapted to zero-G environments, possibly even something evolved in the vacuum of outer space. I've been toying with the idea of a setting that's an asteroid belt with diverse native life. I could totally see a pred native to that setting having bioluminescence and digestive juices that move like lava lamp goo.

That's a cool idea. What I would really like is if the pred's stomach was luminescent and you could see the silhouette of the prey within.

This could be applied to a slime woman, there probably already is some art like it.

I might play with this idea in some of my ecto-tum art--
Thanks so much! What a good idea.

Heck, I`m not even really a female pred fan, but I would love to see this concept done with this character!

Lava lamps are awesome, by the way. I used to have one until the lightbulb burnt out on me and I couldn`t find a replacement.

This is an idea I've been thinking over for some time now. Glad to see there's some others who have not only had it but are also behind it as well. I doubt it'll be a major thing, but it's a niche that needs to be established. IIRC, there's been some art for this but it's been a while and I think only one person has drawn any of it at all.

Wow! Thanks for all the kind words! I've only been here since last Friday but I feel so welcomed! I'm happy to see that this idea is well received and possibly going to be used, it's really flattering!
This has inspired me to suggest more ideas for you guys, some abstract, some more ground in reality. I'll try not to overwhelm you all!
