Okay, allow me to explain: I was thinking of some stories to write, but there's a problem: I don't want to keep things consistent in terms of who the main character has or hasn't interacted with (unless it's an occasional sequel to an original happening). What I mean by a Cartoon-Style vore stories is essentially that it's a story, but each story isn't intertwined: the protagonist constantly gets into "sticky" situations but the main character does not have any reference to past happenings in any other of the stories.
I know it sounds a bit weird, but if you understand what I'm getting at, do you think it's a good idea?

If you plan on him being digested fatally, definitely.

Honestly, that makes things way the heck easier. Essentially you're not adhering to an established canon. You can carry over some elements as you wish, but each story is a fresh new idea. Definitely go for it.

So like just stand alone stories with the occasional throwback? Sounds good to me. I'm assuming that it's a given that all stories take place within the same universe but it would allow for some parody now and then too

I would read something like this. Idea: a pred/prey duo are the main characters and each "episode" the prey gets eaten, but is alive the next.
