What If Vore Was Just A Normal Thing

Like imagine how great it would be if vore was common and could be discussed in public like something completely normal. Think about how guys discuss a sexy women in public like: "man did you see that chicks ass" (just an example by the way, not something I personally would say because I am not a jerk) now imagine if vore could be talked about like that.
"hey, man I found an awesome vore comic last night"
"cool. send me a link to that"

This is like saying that pornography is normal enough to talk about in public.

"Hey man I found an awesome sex video last night."
"Cool send me a link to that."

Once again, I think you remark is quite interesting fieldmousse, and I totally agree with you when you say

Unless something changes about the norm of talking about sex in public, I don't see this changing either.

And, as ryanshowseason3, Artemis, and merlovinit said, I don't think it's something that will happen, at least not for a very, very long time. And even if it did, I'm not sure it would be a change for the better.

I think if vore did become such a normal thing there would be a large number of people wanting to explore the fetich and see why people like it so much. It sorta like when you first discover sex from the internet you want to know more about it and see why people and you like it so much, but at the same time, I do not think people would talk about it outside in public, their just something you like to keep private.

I suspect it's a lot more common than people 'in the know' suspect.

I thought after having pet rats for 18 years (damn it's been that long) it would be normalized to the point where people aren't looking at you like you grew antennae on your head for having them by now. Oh boy was I wrong. I've heard the same myth two or three times of rats being cannibals probably based off of someone who mistreated them. I've been told they carry diseases despite most cases of getting sick from them involve getting bitten just like any other animal.

If pet rats aren't much more popular than they were 18 years ago, vore is certainly growing slowly too. I think the community is pretty accurate for how rare it is.

I think that, at best, vore could end up similar to what happened with furries if we tried to make it more mainstream. People would still see a weird fetish, but they'd make a lot more jokes about it than they would legitimately hate on it. (That said, I'm not a furry, so this is more what I've seen during my time on the internet.)

At worst, trying to do anything to make it more mainstream would attract more trolls and haters who want to make fun of those who are different in a weird way, and even end up with some people labeling vore as a dangerous fetish needing to be 'cured'. Keep in mind, I said at worst. If we did put more vore out there for the world to see, I feel things would remain fairly similar to they are now, but probably with a few more supporters and haters for the fetish.

And Artemis, I'm with you on vore being used as a verb. It just sounds wrong.

Shit tons of people have issues processing things that are even slightly sexy in the conventional sense. Society may be a lot more open about talking about sex in some ways, but its also still equal parts prudish.

So I'm going to say "no", never gonna happen.
