So, many years ago I bought a new computer but kept my old laptop around, mostly for porn storage. I didn't really care about the old laptop because I had everything backed up, so I frequently left it lying around, let its battery run out, etc... Anyway, one day my roommate asks to borrow my old laptop to use the internet and I say "sure" without thinking. There were a few "almost caught" moments like the one time I didn't know Google would save my search history and Eka's and e621 (maybe FurAffinity too can't remember) all show up below the search bar. I was as smooth as can be. about distracting the other guy. Also, I got into a conversation with him about harmful blue light and had to mention I was looking at my Chromebook in the dark in bed. The next thing he said was "jerking off?" He has to be the only one that knows about it, but has no idea what to.

Anyway, here's the harmful blue light story. If I stare at my Chromebook without my glasses that reflect blue light, I will see a flash after closing it and seeing darkness. There is no flash after closing it if I wore my glasses before hand. So I know two things 1) blue light is really harmful and 2) my glasses do work.

So remember everyone, don't look at smart devices before going to bed without protection.

Haha, this thread just dredged up an old memory of a near-disaster.

This was a long time ago, back when I was still a teen and living at home. Private browsing either didn't yet exist with the browser I was using or I didn't know about it. My grandparents were staying at my house for a few days and everyone was hanging out in the living room. Being young and stupid, I guess I decided that was a great time to go look at porn so I went into my room (didn't have a lock) and browsed around my favorite vore-related haunts. I knew about wiping browser history but wasn't very diligent about it, and so when I heard a knock on my door and my dad walked in with both grandparents, there was still plenty of evidence lying around for anyone to find.

It still SHOULD have been fine because I'd thankfully just minutes before stopped browsing lewd sites and closed all the offending pages, but this world is outrageous and my dad had apparently come into my room in order to "show my grandparents the browser" I was using. Now, to this day I'm not completely sure what was actually going on. It's possible he did actually just want to show them the browser; I was probably using firefox at that point and that would've been new to them, and I know that he helped them with tech and web stuff all the time. On the other hand, he had a computer of his own he could of used to show this off that wasn't any farther away. ON THE OTHER HAND, if he was coming in to catch me looking at porn then it would've been pretty fucked up to intentionally bring my grandparents along for the ride and it would've been extremely out of character for him.

Regardless of intentions, what ended up happening--to my abject horror--was that he walked right up to me, asked to use the mouse, and proceeded to click on the browser's address bar to show them what the drop down menu of recent history looked like. So I'm sitting there, petrified, as he intentionally and specifically has them look at my recent browser history so they can "see if the font size was large enough" for them. They finish looking at it all without reacting to anything in particular, thank me, and leave the room.

At this point I'm sweating bullets and am completely ready to die, but I hadn't been able to concentrate enough to see specifically what sites they'd been exposed to so I immediately click back on the address bar drop down and check it out. The good lord was apparently looking out for me that day because I'd somehow opened JUST enough new web pages in the previous few minutes to where everything in the initial dropdown menu was perfectly clean and normal. If they'd just scrolled down one single time, which thank god they did not, they would've come face to face with inexplicable fetishes and lewd terminology which almost certainly would've prompted questions, concern, and private research.

Anyways, nearest miss of my life. The one good thing that came out of it was that it put The Fear into me big time, and I never covered my tracks that poorly ever again.
