3D programs/vore modeling?

I have no idea if this is the right place or not (it seemed to be?) but I've been wondering... for people who do 3D modeling/posing for their vore images, what program do you use? How did you make your character models, if you did? I have a program that lets me pose featureless dolls (you can't customize them) and I honestly love posing and working the pose more than actually drawing, so I've been kind of wanting to get into it. But there's a LOT of programs out there and not a whole lot of information, so I was curious if anyone had their own modeling programs/model customizations/tutorials/etc. they might be interested in sharing.

sourcefilmmaker is free and easy to use, but it's hard to make your own models and many available have built in limitations. it's what i use for my content. Many others use DAZ where you can build much more of your own stuff depending on how much you wanna invest.

SourceFilmmaker (SFM)

DAZ https://aryion.com/g4/view/397062

Blender lets you make stuff from the ground up i think, and makes for very smooth stuff. I also think its free https://aryion.com/g4/view/474173

Those are the main ones i know of, but i only really have any experience with SFM. you can find models online like in Sfmlab or in the steam workshop. There is a wealth of tutorials too. I'd reccommend starting with it and eventually moving on to the more complex options.

Those look good! I tried blender myself, but I couldn't really find any good tutorials on making my own models (which is kind of important to me, since I have OCs I like to use); I might look into SFM just for random scenes, if nothing else, while trying to figure out something for more custom-looking models.

Thank you!

I take it you mean modeling and not reusing existing puppets and characters to re-arrange:
In this case, if you want to model something organic rather intuitively and as you desire, I warmly can recommend "Sculptris".
This is a tool that uses the "endless clay" approach. That means you have more or less a lump of virtual clay and you can shape and expand and form as you desire.
It's really, really good for beginners and still for advanced 3d model artists! So good in fact, that pixologic (zbrush) took it over to use it as a zbrush bait. thank god still free of charge! http://pixologic.com/sculptris/
The texturing tool and the overall look and feel still amazes me to this day and my heart aches to think about the guy that developed this. I hope he got
his fill from the deal.
But still, as it serves as a sort of appetizer for the "real" thing, nonetheless it enables a beautiful workflow with blender, that is when your done modeling, you can import the obj file and start re-topolgizing the model so that you have a lightweight version that is easier going for animations or games, or vore VR or whatever:)

EDIT: There is also another neat workflow where you import the obj-file that serves as your raw model and you refine and customize it in Sculptris and export it to Blender for further processing.

Why would you want to re-topologize your Sculptris model?: Depending on what you want to do with your 3d model, it would be important to re-arrange the mesh of the 3d model to serve this particular purpose more fully. If you don't have any plans to animate your figure, the custom clay-shaped model from Sculptris would be just fine. But if you do want to animate the figure, you might want to reduce and optimize the mesh so it doesn't look weird when manipulating and deforming the figure for the poses.
It's not a matter of size, the order of the single mesh points(vertices) in the model make or break the overall impression when animating.

Huh, interesting! And yeah, as hard as it might be, I'm more interested in being able to model my characters and play with them than use existing models (though I'll need those too, I just want to at least be able to make my own guys). I'll check it out!
