I wrote a story a while ago and some people complained about scat, but for the life of me I didn't understand where I mentioned scat, at least in the sense of disposal. Then someone else said there was just a tolerable level of scat. What is it about scat that puts some people off? Usually in games you can turn scat scenes on or off, which option would you choose?

Emotionally, It's gross, ugly, and unpleasant in every way. Scientifically, it's natural to be repulsed by something that caused diseases that killed many people in ancient times. Indoor plumbing is the whole reason populations aren't being nearly wiped out by disease.

Probably because of it's graphic nature. Same with gore. But like I said, I'm fine when it comes to the aftermath of vore, so long as it's done in a discreet way.

Speaking of vore, and disposal. I once came up with an idea for a story that involved a Lady Predator( one of the Yuatja aliens) who collects the skulls of her victims after she digests them. I was going to make up the excuse that Yuatja's absorb all of their nutrients, but can't digest bone, which would explain the lack of scat.
