Icons in vore

Postby 157and493 » Sun Feb 24, 2019 9:30 am

What are some notable things that often appear in vore?
Things like giant/tiny people, Cell’s tail, and snakes are things that we link to vore, but is there anything else?

I mean, the Vampyr video game fandom seems to jokingly call it vore when the main character eats somebody, even though he's just sucking their blood/soul.

Then again I suppose vampiric and soul vore both are things.
Writer of wholesome fandom M/F vore.

Carnivorous plants maybe? Venus flytraps most of all, like Audrey from Little Shop of Horrors or the Piranha Plants from Super Mario.

I don't usually see people connecting the two, but suppose it's hard to get more iconic than Jonah and the Whale considering it's part of the cannon of three of the largest major religions on the planet. Although honestly there are a lot of people where the whale from Pinocchio would serve the same role better better.

I know this one is not very helpful, but I've noticed the majority of artists like depicting growling stomachs using green colored text, and digestion noises especially so. Despite the fact that red is iconic with causing hunger subliminally, it seems that, in vore, green is invocative.

An icon can be a wide variety of symbols that are meant to simplify and capture a larger concept in a smaller, abstract way. Cell's tail is a great example of an icon, and obviously so is Kaa the snake, but, growling stomachs and drooling mouths seem excellent icons as well. I know that I've had to remind plenty of other vorarephiles that a growling stomach in a tv show doesn't necessarily mean the writers were suddenly all vorarephiles, so I'd say, a growling stomach is a powerful, perhaps even possessive icon for us.

1.) A girl lifting her shirt to reveal her belly button laughing at the plight of the tiny person she just swallowed.

2.) A girl who just swallowed a shrunken person, but won’t vomit him up, despite another normal sized person pleading with her.

The angles are really a staple of vore you rarely see in any other type of art. Middle body shot angled up towards the face. Straight down maw shot.

"Gurgle" "Churn" "Blorp"

Fart cloud skull.

I suppose I could possibly see that as a thing. Perhaps use it as a first person POV thing. Or a beginning of what will become a more beautiful piece of art.
