Ink and Quill Writing Challenge 2 - April's Howlers

Postby ItsSongxing » Fri Mar 29, 2019 10:05 pm

Hello, beauties and gentlebeauties!

So, for those of you who remembered February, our fearless leader, TheVoreEngineer, started up what was supposed to be a monthly writing challenge in which a theme was provided, and numerous folks - both within and outside of the Ink and Quill group - would thus make a story based on such a theme. The idea is that writers would challenge themselves in some sense, either with an unusual theme, a time limit, or both! It went quite well, with a number of writers throwing their hats into the ring and making wonderful stories - some lighthearted, and others tragic, but all lovely nonetheless!

However, in March, things went quiet. Fear not, for Great Leader Vengi yet lives; but due to being a very busy engineer, he has been unable to set a challenge for the month of March. So, in his stead, we at Ink and Quill formed a horizontally-organized anarchical democracy made a collective decision to get this ball rolling ourselves! Like February, we wanted April's challenge to hold the "spirit" of April; but while February has Valentine's Day, April has a few holidays of importance. April Fools' Day, 4/20, Easter, to name a select few!

All of these have quite a bit of potential for a story, vore or nonvore; and so, the theme for this month is: April's Howlers! Perhaps someone pranked the wrong person on April Fools' Day; perhaps a couple stoners got hungry; maybe you want egg-laying bunnies! As long as it's themed around April's holidays, it works! But, first and foremost, please make sure that what you're writing is something you enjoy! This is to be fun, not to be a chore. I chose the name because it had the best ring to it and implies a more lighthearted sort of deal, considering they're themed around silly holidays.

You can view the last thread here!

If you appreciate vore writing, or just writing in general, then please join Ink and Quill by clicking here! We're a friendly Discord group dedicated to writing.

With that, good luck, have fun, and happy writing! The deadline for the stories is three days before the month ends; that is April 27th, 2019 at 11:59 PM CDT! You can check the countdown for this deadline by clicking here.

EDIT: Entries are listed below! Entries will only be linked here if they are posted on the thread or in the #monthly-challenge channel on the Ink and Quill server.

  • Our first entry is "A Little Out Of Hand" by Barghest236! An April Fools' themed story containing a snake pred and multiple female prey.
  • Our second entry is "A Prank Gone Wrong" by Hoboman! An April Fools' themed story containing a businesswoman pred and unwilling male prey.
  • Our third entry is "April Fool's Gone Wrong" by Personad! An April Fools' themed story containing all ladies, a sleeping pred, and trickery! Also, unbirth!
  • Our fourth entry is "Lightweight" by VaguenessIncoming! A 4/20 themed story containing a furry pred & prey, M/F, and - of course - weed.
  • Our fifth entry is "Grovesong" by Progressive! An Earth Day themed story consisting of F/F, oral vore, and tentacles!
  • Our sixth and final entry is "A Fool's April" by Tassie! An April Fool's/Full Moon-themed story consisting of F/M, a werewolf pred, and some brutal domination! Also, size difference!

The last writing group here was such a wonderful inspiration to keep going.
I have been so negligent in writing, I feel terribly guilty, so this would be the perfect impetus to get me going again.

Would have been more timely to post this yesterday, but I did a thing for April! While it's short and it's only dialogue, I hope people will find it amusing.

Thanks for the entry, Hoboman! I've now put it up on the first post.

I've also included hyperlinks to the items for greater ease of the Portal users.

Thank you both for your stories! I've just edited the OP to include them all.

I've also fixed the date to be more accurate; the deadline is April 27th, as per the timer, not April 25th.

This was supposed to be ready on Monday, but life would be boring if everything always worked out perfectly. The link below contains an Earth Day themed story about a pair of adventurers uprooting someting wicked. Contains F/F soft oral vore and a tiny bit of tentacle penetration.

Thanks for organizing and running this month's event, It'sSongxing.

Thanks for the post, Progressive! However, it wasn't just me organizing this event. If not for the rest of Ink and Quill's members, I wouldn't have the fire lit under my arse to get this thread set up; I only set up the thread because we ended up going with my idea for the theme. :p SolMaxiMuta, VaguenessIncoming, TheWraithWriter, Ace-Lowe, and Adannor (On Discord, I don't know if they're affiliated with the Eka's user of the same username) are to be noted in particular.

Oh no! Did I miss it already?

I was so inspired by the full moon last week, I had to write something for it.

I feel like a miserable failure, missing the deadline and making a SHORT story so very long, sorry.

Hmm. Well, the timestamp on your story says you got it in at 1 AM EDT on the dot, which - as it just so happens - is 12 AM CDT. So, you missed the upload deadline by...

...A single minute.

At that point, I could honestly chalk it up to something like technical difficulties and internet speed. Hell, even variations between clocks. It'd be wrong of me to keep someone's story out just because they were a minute late; besides, the only reason the deadline isn't midnight is so that it's less ambiguous when the deadline is.

In short, Tassie, your entry counts and rounds out the list! That said, can you give a bit more information about the kinks - namely, the pred/prey genders & sizes, plus the type of vore involved? I'll update the OP when you do.

That being said, as of this post, we will accept no further entries for this month. But don't worry! We'll have a new thread up by May 1st, as we decide on the theme for that month.

Sorry, I should have thought about that before. I don't know why it feels so foreign to label everything before posting it; I guess it feels like spoiling the story, even though it's an easy guess what happens in the end.

Honestly, I'm not sure how to label this one.

The victim is a human man.
The 'predator' is a werewolf, so she's both a normal looking human and a monster, big enough to touch the ceiling with her head.
Should that be "F/M, Werewolf/human"?

Sorry.

Also, werewolf, hah hah. Get it? Howlers, right?

Alright, that's good enough for me. I do advise on looking at tagging etiquette, though; nothing wrong with not wanting to spoil the story, but people see vore writing so much as porn as they do storytelling. Therefore, folks want to know what they'll be investing their time (and lust) into.
I'd say the big things to tag are the genders involved, the vore method (i.e. the orifice, plus whether it's hard or soft), whether or not there's fatality, and the size relationship between the pred and prey (e.g. Same Size, Mini-GT(S), macro pred/micro prey, micro pred/macro prey, etc.); it's not exhaustive, but it is a start.
