Re: Art Challenge #62 Greek Mythology
Should someone get bonus points or disqualified if they go with Zeus eating his children, which is an actual part of Greek mythology?

Re: Art Challenge #62 Greek Mythology
Copying from wiki:
Metis was both a threat to Zeus and an indispensable aid:[5]
Zeus lay with Metis but immediately feared the consequences. It had been prophesied that Metis would bear extremely powerful children: the first, Athena and the second, a son more powerful than Zeus himself, who would eventually overthrow Zeus.[6]
In order to forestall these dire consequences, Zeus tricked her into turning herself into a fly and promptly swallowed her.[7] He was too late: Metis had already conceived a child. In time she began making a helmet and robe for her fetal daughter. The hammering as she made the helmet caused Zeus great pain, and Hephaestus either clove Zeus's head with an axe,[8] or hit it with a hammer at the river Triton, giving rise to Athena's birth. Athena leaped from Zeus's head, fully grown, armed, and armoured, and Zeus was none the worse for the experience.
As far as greek traditions go, eating your children is probably the worst.
As long as you draw something that is related to Greek Mythology, it counts. (Or write.)

Am I allowed to write a story set in Assassin's Creed Odyssey? That's sorta mythological xD Gosh, mythology is so limiting, Ancient Greek setting could allow for more variety. Peloponnesian war, a Spartan soldier besting an Athenian soldier and swallowing them whole.

Re: Art Challenge #62 Greek Mythology
My piece for this month kind of ballooned into a four part comic. I'm pretty happy with it! I like siren's they're pretty cool.

First time doing something for the monthly challenge. Here's a harpy feeding some human's to her young like birds feeding their chicks.

Re: Art Challenge #62 Greek Mythology
I did get lazy with the background. I'm rarely up to making backgrounds but I wanted to have them in a nest instead of a flat color background

Unfortunately only had time for a sketch again. These keep creeping up on me. Still, have some cuties.
