A bad idea:

In some ways anal vore might actually more cruel to the prey than those orally vored. Whereas a prey ending up in the stomach, dead or alive, might meet a relatively quick end, the fate of the anally vored could be prolonged for months or even years.

The prey gets attached to the gut's wall, slowly being absorbed, becoming symbiotic so it can no longer survive without the host. Meanwhile the host's faeces passes by daily, continually, forcing the prey to endure the stench and taste. It's digestive track gets added to that of the host, allowing the host to absorb nutrients it otherwise could not. The prey might not even be in control its own mouth, having no say in the matter of prolonging the host's digestion.

Nearby, there are other prey, older prey who are by now barely distinguishable from the gut's wall.

I've rped as prey that gets pushed up in and, while not getting absorbed they are stuck and can't get out, and the predator's ass keeps sucking them deeper. They get forgotten about for years, trying to yell out to get the predator's attention while they listen to them go about their life carefree, happy, and oblivious. When the prey finally does get their attention the predator just laughs, tells the prey that they are the predator's shit now and that they'll never let them out or even remember them, and squeezes their ass, sucking the prey deeper so they can't hear them and they forget about them once again. That's my ideal scenario.
